Nate Jones ‏@JonesOnTheNBA
Agree with @Sam_Amick about Harrison Barnes. Seems like writing is on the wall for the Cavs to pick him.

Nate Jones ‏@JonesOnTheNBA
Barnes and Kyrie Irving are best friends, they share the same agent and the Cavs need a small forward. Done deal.

I got it now... Tristan Thompson was also his best friend at the draft day:))) Then we got JV, maybe now we get MKG/BEAL
But I see Barnes going number 2.

What's funny is that I had lunch with Terrence Ross' agent yesterday. We talked about every possible scenario. Toronto never came up.

I understand that they loathe Felton, but I doubt they would skip Beal if given the chance. (Although I just checked and nbadraft.net has POR taking Lillard with Beal available...hmm. Well it's still early and things will change lol).

If this happened I would seriously be praying that CHA takes Drummond

1. Davis (NOH)
2. Drummond (CHA)
3. MKG (WAS)
4. Barnes (CLE)
5. TRob (SAC)
6. Lillard (POR)
7. Sully or PJ3 (GSW)
8. BEAL!!!!! and I seriously will be going crazy!!!! :droop:

I have doubts that despite having Klay Thomspon that they would let Beal go by (as I think they would package him with their later picks for a new SF) BUT man I would be on CLOUD NINE if that were to happen

Lillard might be 2nd best player in this draft after AD. Just sayin'

I've read that GS could consider moving Klay to SF... sort of like how ppl here have been considering movie DD to SF. So, there IS a possibility they would draft an SG....

If Beal fell to us....then if we swung a deal sending around DeRozan for Gay

Nash
Beal
Gay
Bargnani
Valanciunas

That happens I might faint

That's playoff material, and 2 rookie's dream to play with the arguebly best passing PG to play the game.

Beal at 8 would be a very good look for us. GS doesn't need a sg with Klay their and it doesn't make sense to move Klay to SF as he is rail thin. They would be better off drafting sullinger to add to thier big man rotation.

They would trade the pick for some Veteran Small Forward.

There also mix of rumors that they want TJ3 if he's tested out good in the SF drills or taking high risk high reward pick like pj3. I seriously don't know what they want. There is different rumor every single day lol.

This is an incredibly deep draft.

I'm feeling much better about sitting back at 8 and letting the chips fall. There are sooooo many options that I'm not sure we would be significantly better off even at the #2 spot.

That being said, Beal dropping would be AMAZING

I really don't think Beal will drop to us at 8. I think people are looking assuming that the teams ahead of us are going to only draft based on needs and not BPA.

edit: The reason I wrote this is that people shouldn't get their hopes up. I'd say the odds of us getting Beal are about the same as the odds we had to win a top 3 pick in the Draft Lotto

For what it's worth, the RealGM GS board has a poll:
viewtopic.php?f=15&t=1184154
and it looks like they want Sulli or Barnes.

Only 79 people participated but...still good news for us!

Take someone else (assume Davis, MKG, TRob, Drummond, Beal are gone 4%
You can't be happy about this cause Beal wasn't seperate option.

I doubted Beal will drop to 8th.
But if he is at 6th, I would trade up for him.

If Portland couldn't get Drummond, I think they may trade the pick.
Even they trade up for Charlotte, I think we can still trade up to 6th with some cash incentives.

Not really. Who is to say what's BPA? Beal was in the late lotto all year right up until the last couple of months. This happens every year, especially with freshmen. It happened with Jrue Holiday, with Brandon Knight, Kawhi Leonard and Avery Bradley. The workouts haven't even started yet and we don't really have much information on many of the team's choices.
