If Brand gets amnestied, and we are unable to lure guys like Harden and Deron to Philly, then I'd make a strong push for Ryan Anderson and Asik. Two solid young big men that make us better on both sides of the ball. Anderson's shooting complements JIT perfectly and he's an underrated rebounder/scorer in the paint. Asik is a solid post defender who clogs the lane like few others can. They are the two guys I'd hope get strong consideration as they complement our core and actually make us a better team... Humphries and Kaman wouldn't be terrible contingency options.

I would also let Lou walk if he opts out and see if Andre Miller/Hinrich want to run our 2nd unit for a low $ deal. If we have enough $ left, make a play for CJ Miles.

If Philly cannot make a bigger splash like you suggested, I would be OK with some of this, although Asik does little for me other than as a possible rotational big man. R. Anderson seems to be polarizing, but I like his game, particularly on this team as it is currently constituted. I think you have to be much better in the middle however, if you start JTI and Anderson. If you are going that route, I wonder what it would take to get M. Gortat from Phoenix. No stud by any stretch, but I'd much rather have him than Asik and I doubt that he would cost a mint.
