SIGN THE DAMN EXTENTION!

Hopefully after we hire all of our people we can sit him down and get this all over with

This!

We need a GM then all that matters will be if he signs or not.

He took such a PR hit, he could be setting himself up to look better if dealt.

Magic Could Be Interested In Kevin Garnett
Hopeful candidates who are interviewing for the Magic's open general manager position are pitching the idea that the team should go strong after Celtics center Kevin Garnett, according to ESPN's Stephen A. Smith.

Reportedly, a couple candidates who're speaking with the team have said a two-year deal worth $20MM might be what's needed in order to grab hold of Garnett's attention. Garnett has been a revelation in these playoffs, and despite his relatively old age (36), he continues to perform as one of the league's best defenders, and a consistent offensive force.

The Magic are scheduled to be over the salary cap for next season, so in order for this to happen, some significant moves would have to be in the works.

While nothing is certain with the first ballot Hall of Famers future, Celtics coach Doc Rivers has said he believes Garnett will return to Boston and finish his career with the organization that helped him win the first title of his career. A two-year, $20MM deal would be about half of what Garnett made this year alone, but to see him sign something along those lines would not be shocking.

Smith also mentions the Lakers as a possible landing spot for Garnett's services should Pau Gasol be traded this offseason.

Much as I can't stand KG, he is exactly what this team needs.

I'd love to see him cursing out Hedo for not trying, or getting up in Duhon's face for being Duhon-ish.

I'd like to see him here too. But no way do I want a 40 yr old Garnett eating up $10,000,000 of 2013's cap space.

I agree, that price is too much.

I think he'd be willing to take less, if it meant improving the roster.

He's made a ton of money already, I think it's just the love of the game that's keeping him going, now.

Not sure if you caught it, but he was pulling Pietrus around by his arm like a puppet a couple times in the huddle at the end of the game yesterday. You know how players break huddle by putting their hands in the middle? Pietrus was sort of off to the side not really paying attention, so KG grabbed his arm and put his hand in there for him. They didn't say a word to each other and Pietrus just went along with it. Looked like a father teaching a kid an important lesson on how to be a team player.

If boston wins it all, which I doubt, I can see them all coming back for two or three year deals.

Lol, I did see that.

I also remember when he got up n Davis' face for not paying attention or something like that, actually made him cry.

We need someone who will do that, we don't have one person on the entire team who will.

This team needs some mentally tough players, that's for sure.
