In reality, the guys picking have a lot more information on these players then about 90% of the sports writers making these internet mock drafts. So I'd caution against crying foul when you hear about a guy like Lillard being take at #6. Both Harden and Westbrook were considered similar reaches when the Thunder took them in their respective drafts. You just never know.

Yea at the time but had they taken anyone else they would probably not be where they where today.

I know that, but my point is just that you shouldn't negatively judge a pick immediately because a player is taken higher than he was projected in mock drafts.

I was surprised he knew We$ and Nic.

Really? I think he should be expected to know all the players on the current rosters of the teams in the lottery. He's interviewing for a job. He should show some knowledge about the organizations he might play for. I would guess most college players know most of the NBA players anyway. They love basketball enough to pursue it as a career so I bet they watch a fair amount of games.

Andre Drummond has interviewed with Portland, Philly, Charlotte and NO per Steve Kyler.

Interesting that 3 of those 4 teams have picks in the 10-15 range. Kyler also reporting that Charlotte is "open for business" in regards to trading the #2 pick and they're working out guys in the "teens-20's range". Could Drummond be slipping even more?

are these the #6 or 11 guys "blazers to work out Sullinger, Wroten, Lillard and Rivers". I think they should have skipped on Wroten and worked out Waiters or Marshall

I wouldn't be surprised to see Wroten becoming a Top 10 pick. He seems to be rising quickly.

After watching Kemba Walker bomb in Charlotte, I'm a bit worried about Lillard as they're somewhat similar style players. Chad Ford answered a question to someone else who has the same worry:

Lillard's a much better shooter. He's bigger. Has more of a NBA body. He's probably a more explosive leaper. Walker obviously had much more experience playing against top competition and developed into more of a point guard. I think Lillard is a better prospect ...

Lillard himself is definitely talking up his playmaking skills too.

I won't be super disappointed if the Blazers take Lillard over Drummond (assuming MKG and Beal are gone). I can understand why they would. He's apparently having some HUGELY impressive workouts so far.

If T-Rob impresses in workouts I want us to move up and get him. I think he is very similar to Blake Griffin

I like TRob and is attitude, this team could badly use a little "nasty"

Sam Amick
How fired up is Robinson to make his mark in the NBA? He says "I'm going to try to kill everybody." Robinson had been asked if he'd be keeping a list of teams that passed on him to get revenge later, at which point he officially entered the media day version of beast mode: "I'm going to go after every team that I step on the floor against. There's really not going to be a specific team that I'm going to point out and just try to kill. I'm going to try to kill everybody."

I'd definitely be open for Robinson. Kid has a motor and never quits, works hard for his dreams and his little sister.

We can definitely play LaMarcus at the five and get away with it too, he plays his best ball at the five. It'd just be a matter if his body could handle it; I personally think it could (even though I am not LaMarcus.. yet.. ... ...) because there's a real lack of traditional BIG men left in the NBA in terms of size and weight. Howard, Bynum, little Gasol, some of the shorter late round guys who come in each year with just the width.
