Gilchrist stated he would love to play with Kemba Walker who he described as a "monster" per Rick Bonnell.

Not sure about the monster part, but sounds good to me.

So was Al Harrington, Kelvin Torbert, Jrue Holiday, Harrison Barnes, Austin Rivers, and so on. Funny that, there are more high school players of the year in 5 years than there are years in 5 years.

Simply put, there's nothing but foolish homerism for your boy MKG here when you compare a proven NBA Star like Durant with a guy who, well, isn't. Not in this way, at any rate.

Do Brewer and MKG compare in some areas? Absolutely but to compare their overall game is just silly. MKG is simply a better player and FWIW I am on #teambeal and not an MKG fan boy.

ah, I finally found one. Scout.com ranked him as the best prospect when he was in high school, fancy that. Not exactly a NPOY, but sure, it's nice.

I gotta think MKG knows his ugly shot wouldn't look as bad next to Kemba's monster chucker.

Seriously, I'm sure Kemba earned the respect of these guys based on his tourney championship. Doesn't make me want him one bit more (which is nada at #2).

ah, so he's ESPN's guy. You do realize there's about as many groups making these lists as there are players on them, right? Austin rivers won the Gatorade Player of the Year Award that same year. And for what? It'd be like instead of these people voting to name the NBA MVP, they all got to pick one, and several players get several trophies.

Okafor won the RoY over Howard. Does that make Okafor the better player?
Josh Smith hasn't made an All Star game. Does that make every other player in the East that has better than him?

I respect everyones opinions here, but Gilchrist is far and away above Brewer even right now. Ive watched 10 or so kentucky games and in 7 of those games he was better or as goid as Davis. Look at Faried from this past year, work ethic is something that needs to be considered. Damn the measurements. Do you want to strive to be great or not? Gilchrist does. His athleticism and him not turning 19 till later on this year make it even better. I find it insane how people can say a player has hit his ceiling or cant improve on something when hes 18. If thats the case i guess were screwed with Biyombo.

Great athlete. Good basketball IQ, would rather die than let anyone beat him, broken jumper, but that will evolve. Im all in for Gilchrist.

If we draft MKG we are still going to struggle to score....we still are not going to be able to shoot..we may play slightly better defense but not well enough for this team to win more than 10 games...ugh
