Rank the Top 5 RB's going into the 2012 NFL Season?

Post#1 » by mrjerseys » Wed Jun 6, 2012 2:13 am

1. Maurice Jones-Drew: that guy runs with power and speed he has all the untangibles
2. Arian Foster- He has what MJD has except he cant seem to stay healthy
3 Adrian Peterson- He would go to number one if he just stays healthy next season and if he can have a good bounce back year
4. Marshawn Lynch- (Manimal, Beast mode) the guy runs without fear and he has so much drive and determination that he is almost impossible to take down
5. Lesean MccCoy- He would be a little higher but he is young so I want to see him have the same success that he did this next year.

Honerable Mentions
Matt Forte- Just because he came out of nowhere I kept him off of this list till he proves he can be higher I just want to make sure he isnt a one and done player

Chris Johnson- He as everyone knows he had a horrible year last year I hope that he can pick it up but he might of been one of those players that his prime was just short

Stephan jackson- he is a hard runner and he is tough but there is just to many good running backs in the league now

Shady is in every way better than Lynch. I think he is the best, I will not force THAT upon you, but he is by far better than 5.
PG: Russell Westbrook, Reggie Jackson
SG: Andre Roberson, Anthony Morrow, Jeremy Lamb
SF: Kevin Durant, KJ McDaniels, Perry Jones
PF: Serge Ibaka, Nick Collison, Robert Covington

Isn't Peterson going to miss pretty much all of next season??

Also, Forte and McCoy should completely be above of Lynch on this list. No Ray Rice, even in the HM??

I think the plight of the runningbacks should be mentioned. They have been boxed, put into a corner, and packaged. Figured out. Lock em up long term on the cheap. Franchise them if they gripe for more money. And EVERYONE seems to know that if they hit the age of 30... they're finished. Truly sad. The philly running back is good for me. Versatile. Very much like President. BUSH.

Hmm... Right now I'd go...

1. Arian Foster - This guy is a do everything monster with breakaway speed and prototypical size.

2. LeSean McCoy - Like a better running Westbrook with great size.

3. Darren McFadden - Can he stay healthy? Dude is electric with amazing all around skills, speed, hands, vision, change of direction and has improved as a blocker. Probably too high due to injuries but when he's healthy he makes a case for #1.

4. Ryan Mathews - Really came into his own and started living up to the hype. Another guy who seems like he's made of glass at times though.

5. Matt Forte - A workhorse that does a bit of everything who's up to his YPC to an elite level. Pay this man his money! Is his knee better?

Honorable Mentions:

Ray Rice - Shifty small back who you can lean on for 20 carries a game easy plus a ton of receptions and a solid blocker for his size. Could make a case for him as high as 3.

MJD - Still got it, gets underrated due to the recent injury and the garbage team he plays for, can easily make a case for this guy as high as 3 as well.

Lesean McCoy
Arian Foster
Darren McFadden
Matt Forte
Adrian Peterson

Best all around backs. Honorable mention to Ryan Matthews. He was great for me last year in fantasy.

1. Foster
2. Peterson
3. McCoy
4. MJD
5. Forte

i love McFadden- but he has to prove he is durable. Somewhere close is Marshawn Lynch and Ray Rice.

Baxter, you know I don't speak Buffalo.

I put it into Google Translate and it said Joseph Addai.

1. Ray Rice - Only offensive player on a good defensive team

2. Michael Turner - Mr. Consistent is rested and healthy

3. Willis McGahee - Payton Manning's Robin

4. Arian Foster - Mr. Do Everything

5. Maurice Jones-Drew - way too many problems with the JAGS for it to happen again

How is McGahee who has been average at best for the last 3 years better than Shady who had 20 TDs last year and 2,800 yards rushing in 2 years???

Good line there

My current top 5:
1. Arian Foster
2. MJD
3. Peterson
4. McCoy
5. Ray Rice

I don't think people appreciate just how inferior MJD's line is to the other backs listed here, even McCoy's jumbled blocking group. If he got Foster's or Rice's blocking he's easily top 2000 yards.

Alfred Morris is top 5 in the league in rushing yards right now and tied with rushing TDs.

Just sayin.
Eric Maynor is the worst basketball player I've ever seen.
