Doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.

Farrell is certifiably insane.

Well, to be fair, if Farrell had a chance to address your post, he'd point out that posing a rhetorical question...and then quoting yourself and answering your own rhetorical question is a little insane as well :D

Puzzling that a warmed-up Perez wasn't in to face the lefty with a runner on 3rd. We've got to cut ties with Cordero. Nice guy, but sometimes you're too fat and old to be any good, and you gotta call it a career.

Not to mention that atrocious contract that could have been much better spent in any other imaginable way.

The only problem I can see is Farrell. The start of the season was promising, but over this larger sample he seems to be the same guy as last year.

The front office isn't the problem.

The front office obviously can't go unscaved anytime you give such a mediocre reliever (just about everyone one knew he was mediocre before he even played a game) a boat load of money. Not to mention that it's popular belief he was promised some type of high leverage role on the team.

At some point you would think one of these idiots would step up, start using their brain and stop throwing games.

Pure BS tonight. Hard to lose a game like that, yet somehow...

That's the second time I've been called out on that one (spykelee was first). I actually set it up so that I could quote myself in the answer. I thought it would add some gravitas. Guess not. Tough crowd here tonight.

Anyway, Farrell's an idiot. That was my point.

Some quotes brought to you by "illy"

smh. vernon was on the decline and had a big contract which is the reason why we traded him. yes he had a veteren presence, but was it worth that much money. NOPE! our bullpen last year sucked and we needed some proven vets (dont tell me rauch or francisco) were. the hitting and pitching are different planes. we needed stability in the bullpen.

how many saves does coco have in his career?
how long as coco pitched in the majors?

and casey...

i was too captivated by the ECF tonight that i kind of neglected this game, but i will give my two cents and ask

WHAT THE **** IS CORDERO DOING OUT THERE IN A TIE GAME WITH BETTER OPTIONS AVAILABLE

YOU **** STUBBORN TOOL FARRELL HOW MANY DAMN GAMES ARE YOU GONNA PISS AWAY BY DOING THIS???? 10????? 15????????

i must add that going 1-10 with RISP should be to blame, but using cordero YET AGAIN in a high-leverage situation is flabbergasting and downright inexcusable and indefensible. **** you farrell!

Bautista outplays his contract by more than $70 million over the next four seasons (2013-2016).

i can live with perez or janssen (or chad friggin beck ffs) giving up a walk-off hit. but cordero? at this point it's a no-f***in-brainer that you do not use him in any scenario when the game is up for grabs. cut the fat walrus loose so farrell won't stupidly use him ever again in a high-lev situation...only damn solution.

ERA column = ERA+

Please stop using Cordero unless winning or losing by 4 runs.
