I wish the SVG interview was up on 790's website. I think it would be great to frame tonight's performance from the team. He was talking about coaching and called Doc and Spo two of the best coaches in the game today. He said that as someone who's had to go up against both of them, and gameplan against them, they they are two excellent coaches. He made some great comments about how our defense is elite despite lack of length. He just had some great comments all-around.

You look at the performance tonight and see that the defense was playing at this level in the second halves of Game3 and 4, and you realize it's just effort-based. There are some excellent things we do, and ignoring them is not giving our whole team it's due, including the coaches.

We win as a team and lose as a team. Tonight, we lose as a team. I've been blaming the support cast, and tonight they showed up. Not a great deal of production, but when they got their open looks in the first 3 quarters, they made them. That's all they need. Bron won't go for 40 every game, but if we get solid production from The Others, we're unstoppable. Spo coached this game like every other. We just had a better effort on defense and got timely shooting from the supporting cast. That's all we need. PEACE.

EDIT:

@Chris_Broussard
I asked 27 execs from 20 NBA teams if they'd fire Spoelstra if Heat lose series to Bos. 17 said No, 10 said yes. Lotta respect 4 Spo in nba

Still not as many as I'd think. SVG's comments suggest coaches think very highly of him. He also ripped Broussard in the interview, ironically.

What makes you think the execs were being honest?

Could be that they WANT Spo to stay with the Heat so we never live up to our potential.

Huh? Why would they need to lie? It has no actual bearing on Pat's decision. PEACE.

I think they were being honest because he's a good coach. ;-)

cablexdeadpool - are you feeling just a little stupid for having started this thread before your dream scenario actually happened?

Why would they vote the Bulls GM as Exec of the year over Pat Riley last season? One GM even voted for the Bulls GM and put in "John Paxson" even though the bulls GM is Gar Forman.

Because they hate us.

That makes no sense. This is an anonymous survey of execs who have nothing to hide. Broussard does this sort of thing all the time. There's no reason for bias in these responses. You're reaching badly. PEACE.

You don't seem to understand the concept of a poll. The point is to publish the results of the poll. Whoever voted yes or no does not matter. What does matter is the answer to the question, yes or no on Spoelstra, and there is bias in that answer.

GM Execs who hate us want to tell us to keep Spoelstra so we never live up to the potential.

and GM execs are pretty biased in their voting. A lot of them voted Bulls GM over Pat Riley last season.

Class dismissed.

They skewed an official poll that screwed Pat Riley out of winning GM of the Year. He had to share it because some GM's hate us. You and I know there is no way that signing Carlos Boozer and Kyle Korver is the same as LeBron James, Dwyane Wade, and Chris Bosh.

You're in denial. Denial much? PEACE.

One is an official vote, and yes, they can vote on whoever they want. That's an official poll where your conspiracy theory might actually make sense. However, on a blind survey, there are no consequences and there is no need to lie. Those blind surveys are blind for the express reason that anonymity increases honesty.

Have you ever volunteered for a blind survey? Did you really feel the need to lie on it? I'm not in denial, you're just being stupid. Believe what you want to believe. I'm done arguing the validity of the poll. SMH. PEACE.

Of course there is a need to lie. They have a bias and they hate us.

They want us to fail. PEACE.
