OT - Pacquiao vs Bradley

Post#1 » by KnickswiththeKnack » Thu Jun 7, 2012 8:33 pm

Still a few days away, but who ya got?

I think it'll be closer than some people think, but if Pacquiao turns it up, Timmy's in trouble.

If Bradley doesnt change his style, i know Manny will Knock him out.

I am a filipino and a Pac-Man fan for life, but i cant help but like Bradley. Ive seen him in a couple of 24/7 episodes and i lke his attitude, and demeanor.

I want Manny to KO his a$$ out, but i think this will go the distance. Manny might Knock him out in the middle rounds but he will surely get up as he is very resilient.

In the end Manny wins either by late KO or Majority decision. I can t wait for the fight. This could be Manny's last few so i am enjoying every moment of it. It is going to be a Fiesta here in the Phil once again. no traffic, no crime.. :-)

I've read in a lot of boxing forums where people say they wouldn't be surprised if Bradley took him down. But IMO, this is a fight tailored to Pacquiao's strengths. Bradley's a come-forward brawler with some boxing skills, but he's still a come-forward fighter. If this was a few years ago, I'd say Pac knocks him out in the early rounds, but at this point where Pac has shown significant signs of decline, I think Bradley makes it to the end but loses in a decision.

Love Pacquiao, but he just doesn't have the same passion for the sport that he used to. Instead of training he's working as a Congressman, filming TV shows, playing in a band, making music, starting up a vegetable company, becoming a pastor, etc. etc. etc. I don't see him winning this fight.

It depends on which Manny shows up.

Don't underestimate Bradley he's hungry and Pacquiao has been acting unlike himself over the last year, if Manny come in taking this kid likely he is going to get outclass.

As a Pacman and Amir Khan fan, I hope to see Bradley lose Saturday night, but I really do think he's a great fighter. The bout won't be easy regardless of who wins. I got Pacman taking it, though.

But he's not come-forward the way some of Manny's more recent fights have been. He's got way more skill than other come-forward fighters. Let's not forget that Bradley did box Devon Alexander's ears off.

Personally, I don't like Bradley's style, I think it's kinda ugly to watch, but I definitely respect him as a quality fighter. Never really regarded him as elite tho... we'll see if he proves me wrong.

I hope Pac annihilates Bradley. He is what is wrong with boxing. First he calls out Khan, than ducks him and fights a washed up 40 year old. Then he waits ages to sign with Top Rank and undeservedly get this fight with Pacquiao.

When Bradley wins Pacman is going to realize all the money he just lost out on for not fighting Floyd.

This is gonna be an extremely tough fight for Pacquiao. Bradley is a very busy fighter and pacman with his calf woes might not be up to the task. Plus, Bradley has a very hard head.

Its gonna likely go to decision and will likely be a war along the lines of pacmans fights with morales and marquez.

Pacman is not as good as he used to be. It will be a tough fight but Pacman will win in the end. Bradley is a very good and respectable fighter.

I have about $3000 that I am considering laying on Bradley, however I am unsure of a few things:

1) How will Tim respond when he gets hit by Pac? He tasted the mat against the hard hitting Kendall Holt, but Manny is on a different level.
2) Can Tim execute his game plan at this elite level? I have heard from the Bradley camp that they plan to keep Pac moving, they plan to keep him turning, and not allow him to plant his feet by staying in front of him. Excellent gameplan, but can Bradley stick to it as this is his first time fighting a fighter at this level of competition?
3) Even if Bradley executes his plan to perfection will he find a way to get the KO? Otherwise, he might finish the twelfth ahead on the world's scorecards but behind on the judges scorecards.

I think Bradley has the tools to shock the world by winning in a Trinidad/Hopkins or even a Tyson/Holyfield kind of way, but those guys a more powerful punchers than Bradley and were able to avoid putting the fight in the hands of the judges, can Tim do the same?

$3000 on Bradley? I don't think I'd go that HIGH on him. Especially if the odds hover around +300. Even a $1k bet wins you $3k.

This isn't vintage Pacman though and I'm leaning towards Bradley too.

Wow. Looks like 24/7 did its job. Bradley and Pacquiao aren't in the same league and this is coming from a Mayweather fan. Bradley was handpicked for Pacquiao because he fights to all of Manny's strengths. Bradley will be on the canvass by the 5th Rd. Book it.
