Who would average the most points on Bobcats next season Beal, Robinson, Davis, Drummond, Barnes, MKG if you gave them 36 minutes a game?

It's between Beal and Barnes. I'm leaning towards Beal.

Me too. Barnes wouldn't get the same touches I think, but have better percentages.

Out of that group, easily Beal or Barnes. I think the others are going to struggle to find their game initially.
MKG and Robinson might hit 10ppg, I doubt Drummond sees that this year, and Davis might do 12-15. Beal or Barnes, considering how devoid we are of scoring, could do 18+. Similar to how Irving was able to score a lot of points last year; no one else to do it.

Well considering the 36 mpg Drummond and Davis could end up almost anywhere, really. I think it depends on their offensive rebounding. If Drummond can get a few of those in 36 minutes? Surely he could pass 10. I think Drummond and Bismack would improve each other's rebounding because they wouldn't be as pressured defensively. By that I mean they could spend more time getting position and less time covering other people's mistakes. Kinda like how Boris Diaw made it a little easier for Wallace to get the boards because he'd block out, if that makes sense.

Re: 1st rd pick general discussion #2 overall (Poll Added)
feels like most of these comparisons have been beat to death....
comparisons at time players were drafted (i'm going old-school on some to get some new comparisons):
Barnes: wally szczerbiak/calbert cheany/kerry kittles (taller and stronger)/jarvis hayes (better version)/luke jackson (more athletic)/loul deng (more range)/martell webster (bigger)
Beal: steve francis (less athletic, but better shooter)/trajan langden (much more athletic)/ben gordon/deron williams (the shooting guard version from team USA)/randy foye (better shooter)
Drummond: samaki walker (stonger)/stromile swift (with slightly better jumper, handles and passing)/andrew bynum/patrick obryant (more atheltic)/sharone wright (more athletic)
Gilchrist: shawn marion/josh childress (slightly less broken jumper, more athletic)/corey brewer (more overall skill)/eddie jones (stronger)
JLamb: jamal crawford/reece gaines/kevin martin
PJones: tim thomas/demarr johnson/jarred jefferies/charlie villanueva/donyell marshall
Marshall: mark jackson/andre miller/jason williams (less flashy, slightly bigger, not a headcase)
Robinson: antonio mcdyess (slightly shorter)/kris humprhies (more athletic), brian grant (more athletic), rodney rogers (slightly taller, much better rebounder)
Sullinger: marcus fizer (slightly longer)/sean may (with work ethic)/mike sweetney (before he got super fat)

The best comparison I can come up with for Barnes is Glen Rice. Right now the Bobcats flat out need guys that can make shots. Your leading scorer wouldn't start on most decent NBA teams. Drummond and Kidd-Gilcchrist are interesting prospects but they do have plenty of risk around them and are not known as big time scorers. Barnes' ability to score and ties to the area (the Bobcats need to sell tickets) make him a likely candidate.
In my opnion the Cats need a wing/guard scorer like Barnes plus a post/forward scorer like Sullinger. Trading down should certainly be considered.
If I was MJ I would probably just plan to take Barnes with the pick and make a hard run at Teletovic and promise him more money and a bigger role than the Nets can give him. That fills both needs plus you basically get the best player in Europe.

I just don't think Drummond is ready this year. I hope he proves me wrong but he's still very raw. Depending on who takes him, I think he will have a problem making the rotation for a while. If he ends up here, I think it would take a few months to unseat Mullens unless the new coach wants to throw him in to the sharks day one.
I think Davis is going to have that same problem initially. I can't see Monty Williams giving him a free pass for minutes when they have Ayon and Smith playing decent ball. He's going to have to earn minutes. Might end up like Derrick Favors in his first season at New Jersey.
It's easier to throw shooters like Beal or Barnes right in and see what they can do. Barnes could easily do 12-15 here if we took him. I don't think Beal would have a problem doing at least 15, especially since the departure of DJ is all but finalized. Just depends on how well Reggie plays and how the new coach would play him and Henderson.
Either way, I think it's premature to guess what these guys would do for us until we have a coach. We don't have a system right now. Obviously Brian Shaw running the Triangle would produce different opportunities than Jerry Sloan running the Motion.

I can see Beal, Barnes, or TRob coming in and having an impact offensively in year one.
MKG will score in transition but you're not going to get much out of him at all in a half court offense.

Beal or MKG
1. robinson - he is the only one of the bunch that would be a guaranteed starter from opening day. should easily be good for 15ppg while getting 35 minutes.
2. barnes - both he and MKG would probably start over maggette from day one, but mags would still get minutes. barnes shooting alone should get him 13ppg
3. beal - i doubt he would start from day one. hendo and kemba would start at guard and beal would get minutes backing up both, at least initially. he wont start over hendo unless hendo is traded. slight chance hendo moves to small forward in a super small lineup. still would get 25mpg which should still be good for 12ppg. if somehow could start from day one, 15ppg is realistic.
4. mkg - (see barnes). mkg would have to get all his in garbage points 11ppg
5. drummond - i figure we would take it slow with him and bring him off bench behind biz, mully and a vet big we are most definitely going to sign. 8ppg in about 20 minutes.

You are overrating Robinson and underrating Beal, our coach (whoever it is) will find him minutes, he is that good and he will average 15+ ppg easily. Robinson fits in nicely at 3rd on the list behind Beal and Barnes.

not really underrating beal, just trying to figure out where his minutes come from if hendo isnt traded or moved to small forward. hendo in his 4th year will most likely be better than beal as a rookie. he won't start over hendo at sg next year if hendo is on the team.

best guess for points per game 3 years from now.... (total guess though)????????
1. beal - 16-20ppg
2. robinson - 14-18ppg
3. mkg - 13-17ppg
4. barnes - 12-16ppg

These would be my guesses as well. It just depends on what team their on too. Barnes would score 18-20ppg with a point guard that can facilitate. Beal would be a 20-25ppg scorer if he is the main offensive option.

I think Barnes could reach 20, or be at like 12. Not because he's inconsistent or not skilled, just because it'[ll be hard for him to get the usage rate required to get into the 20s but if he does it'd be nice.
