The Star says he suffered "a setback" in his rehab and there is no timeline for his return.

Sounds like they might just wrap him up for the year.

As soon as I heard shoulder trouble I guessed he was done for the year. Unfortunately I didn't post it on here, so I can't arrogantly state I knew it all along. I'm also convinced McGowan will never pitch again.

I really thought the same thing too. Just like when BJ Ryan's "back" was injured. Shoulder injuries seem to be euphemisms for year-ending surgery.

It'll be kind of annoying if we wasted the last three months only to undergo surgery in the end anyhow. I guess you could say more than three months since he wasnt right in the spring either.

I thought this was supposed to be a pitcher who didn't have much mileage because he only just started throwing a few years ago. Little mileage but not enough experience to know what a properly delivery is and how to take the strain off the shoulder.

Very disappointing.

Any pitcher can get injured at any time. Thats the nature of the game.

No problem, asshat.

Read your question again. What are you confused about? A pitcher can have zero innings pitched and a perfect delivery and get hurt. Pitchers get hurt. What are you disappointed in? The fact that Anthopoulos isn't a psychic?

Good God... You might want to take your own advice and read it again, yourself. I didn't ask a question nor am I confused--just disappointed. Is that not allowed here? Are you policing the morale of the fans? There is no rational reason for you to be this concerned with my disappointment.

I appreciate it, though.

On AA, however, I must say I was pleased with the trade when it happened. I still am, in fact. It might take longer to realise the rewards, but baseball is about optimism.

i would love to see McGowan as a future Blue Jays pitching scout. it's a shame his persistence hasn't payed off, but he would seemingly fit that kind of retired role very well.

Santos likely done for the season; according to Zaun and Campbell.

why would white sox sign him to a multi-year deal if he was injured?

So they could make him look more attractive in a trade? It worked.

Never liked picking up Santos, Molina didn't seem like a lot to give up but it is when you consider he hadn't proven ****, a half season as a decent closer and AA makes him out to be our savior, never questioning why the Sox wanted to move a young closer in the first place.

Because he was cheap and it made him a better trade chip ???

The trouble is they don't seem to know what his problem is. So he can't have surgery.
