I fell asleep like three times during the undercard, I think I saw about 30 seconds of Baczynski vs Benoist so I don't know if that was any good but every time I woke up they were lying on the floor.

Scott Jorgensen needs to drop to 125. He lacks reach at 135.

For the record, I got Mouse, Silva, Pyle, Pierce, Jorgensen, Means, Roberts, Grice, Hecht, Papazian, H. Martinez, and Benoist.

You'd have to say those were good picks. I think I would have done well in the pool with those selections because 2 of the 4 fights I picked incorrectly I didn't bother to scout one of the fighters and I really wasn't that confident in any of those picks. I had around medium confidence in Young Guns beating Wineland. I agree with Nemesis that Young Guns should drop to 125. He depends on wrestling, gnp, and brawling, and he's not been able to implement those aspects of his game against the noticeably longer and quicker Cruz, Barao, and Wineland.

Mighty Mouse I thought edged Uncle Creepy and I found it pretty odd when people said this fight would pick up where the last left off. There was some conditioning that probably played a part in that strong finish and I think Uncle Creepy surprised Mighty Mouse with wrestling. Mighty Mouse made some adjustments in this fight and won a little more comfortably. But I don't think he'll beat Benavides because he has quicker feet, reflexes, more power, and better grappling.

I'm also surprised that so many people picked Salas over Means and at high confidence. How exactly was Salas going to win this fight against a much longer, sharper striker, with a wrestling background. I think Means is closer to what many TUF zombies hoped Tony Ferguson would be.

But the biggest winner of the night had to be Erick Silva. I've been a huge believer in this kid before he signed with UFC. His athleticism, skills, and awareness are obvious. Thought he would win but didn't know for sure if he'd neutralize a persistent wrestler like Brennaman. That was beautiful to watch. I don't normally like one-sided beatdowns, unless they involve one of my favorites or a sprawl and technical brawl against an annoying wrestler. Silva is the best prospect at WW IMO and I'd like to see him do the same thing in his next fight against that putz Michael Pierce.

He beat Kos, and POSSIBLY Hendricks. Also is the one guy to have had Fitch in trouble (didn't he win the 3rd round?) in the middle of Fitch being Fitch. Top 10 WW imo.

Was surprised to see him being counted out somewhat. Not too many dudes tougher than that guy.

That said, same goes for Jorgensen. Unreal fight.

I also loved Silva/Brenneman, frantic pace for the first 1.5 minutes. Up against the cage for 4.2 seconds...the ref: "You gotta WORK!!!".

stfu John McCarthy wannabe. The next time I see a good mma ref may be the first.

What kind of drugs was McCall doing? White trash party drugs? Or H?

The judging and reffing at that event was maybe the worst ever for a UFC event. Only UFC Vancouver rivaled it. The most egregious errors were one of the judges scoring Pierce-Rocha 30-27 for Carlos and one of the refs repeatedly warning Baczynski and Benoist for pushing off the cage with their feet.

Yeah. There were a lot of unathletic dudes on this card. How Mike Pyle is on a streak of 4/5, I have no idea. He teeters around that ring like gumby. And Neer is just behind-the-times. Time for him to be cut. No movement, slow stalking, arm punches...looked really bad. Esp in between Wineland and Silva fights. You could see those lefts going way wide and with no hips, Pyle to his credit landed an elbow-high right and finished him.

Those two, Pierson, Hecht, Means...these guys are all at huge athletic deficits.

Mind you, there were another 5-6 guys on this card who are fast-twitch monsters. Oh man, I'd never noticed Silva before. But wow. And Wineland's adopted a Cruz-lite style. It looked great. Jorgenson's no slouch. And it's also nice to see someone with punching power at the lower weights.

Cos, TBH, the main fight was boring. I actually haven't even finished it...30 secs left, I know who is going to get the decision and that there will be no finish. There's gotta be that possibility, in my opinion, or it's tough to be compelled by the fight.

In the interview with Ariel he said that he always did pills.

The time he OD's he was taking painkillers(I think three different kinds) because he just got a new tatoo and he also drank with them and maybe mixed them with something else.

LOL which one was Vancouver?

And which event was dubbed "the Yamasaki Brother Swan Song" after the Yamasaki duo literally ruined like 5 of the 12 fights? That one was amazing.

Yea I think it was like oxy and booze mixed with like 2 more types of pills. Ridiculous.

Good event...main card at least.

Kinda zoned through the Fuel prelims, didn't watch the Facebook ones.

Only thing I really remember was the awful judging in Pierce-Rocha. How do you get 30-27, 27-30, 30-27 in a fight that wasn't really that close? I will say that I gave Rocha the first round. He was slightly winning the standup, and at least one of the "takedowns" was him pulling guard and going for a sub, and I'm pretty sure the other one only featured a submission attempt by Rocha before standing up again. Interesting that Pierce has decided to be the Brazilian hunter. Hadn't heard about that before tonight.

Wineland looked awesome. Was he always this good? I don't think so. He was moving really well, defending takedowns, and finished with a great KO. Maybe it was just too much of a size advantage for him over Jorgensen, but SJ is still a very good 135er. Could be an even better 125er though.

Pyle-Neer. Meh. Wasn't bad, just don't have too much interest in either guy right now.

Silva looked awesome as well. Can't wait to see who he gets matched up with next. Mike Pierce would be a tough test, and fits the Pierce vs. Brazilians thing too.

Johnson vs. McCall was good, but nowhere near the first fight. So kind of disappointing in that regard. I wanted to like McCall, but then I noticed that he paints his fingernails, so that's done. He'll fight for that 125 pound title soon enough though, whether it's Mighty Mouse or Benavidez that ends up as champion. Dodson probably gets the first shot if he can win his next fight, and then McCall will probably be right back up there with another win or two.

Wineland's a monster with a deceiving record, most of the losses were very early in his career. Faber had a lot of trouble with him, Benevidez was just so much faster. Big fan of him since the Campuzano fight, finished it with a ridiculous combo. He has some of the best TDD in the sport, IMO. And he was beautiful last night, Cruz-like as mentioned earlier.
