Beats me. And why would there be a frontrunner like Malone when we don't even have a GM yet... Hoopsworld is all over the place.

Cause Dwight wants Malone. Also, Malone is well respected around the league. I'm not sure about why we would want Clifford though.

I'm out. Hopefully, this thread doesn't reach 100 by the time I wake up. If it does, then someone please create the next thread.

I'm so stunned that Bower and Penn are even being mentioned with Lindsey and Weaver.

AlexKennedyNBA: The Magic are close to hiring a GM, and Mike Malone and Steve Clifford are in the mix to become the team's next coach: http://t.co/rhvd0Imp

Wow man this is taking longer than i expected.....thought we would have a GM by now....there is actually a chance we'll have no GM in place at the Draft....that's not good imo....

It's just more speculation.

I've always liked Steve Clifford and saw him as a potential future head coach.

I am not sure if he is the right guy though.

In the end, The GM Search is close and we will find out the new coach soon after that.

Everything is simply speculation like the Dwight Howard Saga we have gone through for the past year.

I'm on the opposite fence. Pacman has been taking PED's for a long time. It was one of those things where everyone knows it. Boxing knows it. But the drug testing is not stringent and it allows Pacman to cleanse before the test and bout and come up clean. I think this was one of those fights that was finally close enough and not a knock out where they said "We can't catch you with the drugs"..."but we are sending you a message in the ring, your done".

Didn't say Bradley won the fight. I said that the Boxing probably has been waiting to see one close enough where they could deny Pacquiao. This was that fight. Bradley won more then round 10. Pacman just lands so many hard vicious punches it skews your overall feel of the fight.

The Pacman vs mayweather fight would have been money. After the Cotto fight it still looked like it could happen, but now Floyd has made it clear he does not want any part of Pacman. So I think Boxing wants Pacquiao out. Would you want a guy getting a way with taking a roid like substance and rubbing it in everyone's face?

As far as the Cotto vs Mayweather fight. Cotto had some good late rounds but Mayweather was up on more rounds and it was clear to even the analysts he won the fight. I think it was still much closer then the decision, but...Mayweather won

According to iamgm on twitter

@IAMAGM: Cavaliers in trade negotiations with Blazers about swapping draft picks, #4 and #24 for #6 & #11 http://t.co/HdxmkLQc

Bo Outlaw - What is that some kind of cheeseburger?

Makes sense for the Cavs. They have a James Harden for Harrison Barnes. Why reach and pick him at 4 when you can trade down and get him and the 11th pick.

For Portland it makes sense as well. They want Beal or Drummond. They have to move up and get either of them.

This is a response I got from Joshua Robbins on Twitter

@JoshuaBRobbins: @Glennathan529 If GM candidates meet w/DeVoses from Mon-Wed -- note the "if" -- it could happen by Friday. Note the "could"

I will let you all judge that for yourselves on what you think he means by that.

I take it to mean that the Magic should hire Lindsey or Weaver by Friday, but ownership and Martins will drag into the next couple weeks hoping both drop out so they can hire Bower.

The more I read about Dennis Linsey, the more I like. I personally believe he is the exactly the kind of person we need for GM. A young, fresh face that comes from a first-class organization and knows how to help put together a championship caliber team.

If we can hire Lindsey, and then get Shaw as our Head Coach, I'd be extremely happy. Brian Shaw reminds me of a young Doc Rivers.

Let's get these moves done so we can focus on the draft and devloping a vision for the future!
I like this team

moving along so slow.....to be quite honest i though we would of had a GM by now....by now i though we would be interviewing Coach candidates but i guess we're taking a real in-depth look into our GM choices......i just hope we have something in place before the draft.....
