Perry Jones has the same reach as Kevin Love despite being 2.5 inches taller and 2.5 inches longer wingspan. Meyers Leonard and Anthony Davis have the same reach as Derrick Williams despite being significantly taller and longer.
Something seems off with the way they are measuring standing reach this year.
The need to sandwich then in some mechanic thing so they have to stand straight and then just measure from their shoulder to their finger tips. Or anchor there heels and put something on their wrist that pulls them up. Or just stick some hot girl ass on a ledge.
Standing reach can be computed.

To me they seem the most mature, the most ready to contribute, and they have as much upside as anyone. Measurements aside, just watching them on the court with these other prospects they stand out. Their demeanor and how they carry themselves, as well as how they just look physically.
At 3 I want either Robinson or Beal.
At 32 I'm liking Jeff Taylor, Doron Lamb, and Darius Miller.
At 46 I'm interested in Scott Machado, Hollis Thompson, and Buford.
If it's between Beal and Robinson at 3 (if Bobcats take MKG)... I think my mind says Beal, but heart says Robinson. The interviews I've seen and read, and his desire to play for DC, to me he's the guy. I mean the thought of essentially replacing Blatche on this team with Robinson could be such a revelation for this franchise, and give this team the kick in the pants it needs for a real turnaround.
Regarding Beal and Robinson, that is pretty much where I have been for a while now. To bad we can't get both.

i keep switching between Beal & MKG....right now im on the MKG bandwagon.....his passion & work ethic is what has me leaning towards him. It's definitely something the wizards are lacking. im still hoping we can pick up an additional 1st rd pick some how. im down w/ trading anybody but nene, seraphin, and wall.

I was surprised to see his wingspan but his standing reach also puts him in the undersized camp. Hes basically the same size as Kevin Love.
You might want to think about the logic there. You guys ranking players because of these measurements are generally way off, imo.
Im not ranking players or saying that Robinson will be Kevin Love because hes the same size or that Beal will be OJ Mayo but like it or not size is a factor. It may not reflect as much on offense but it will cause missmatch problems on D if a player is undersized. Look at Jamison..Id take his offense any day but he couldnt guard a paper bag cos he was too small to guard a 4 and not quick enough to guard a 3.
Would Kevin Durant be as effective if he was 6'7"? No size matters and is a factor.
Im certainly not suggesting size is all that matters.. I would steer clear of guys like Drummond who have size but havent showed much else but its heard to get too excited about an undersized 2 guard with the 3rd pick

It's Robinson or Beal.
It will be great either way, a Guard who plays off the ball and shoots and rebounds. Or a strong leader at the 4 who is Guarenteed to be a strong defender in the paint.
No way we take MKG ahead of either those two, the shooting would be horrendous

Beal reminds me a lot of Jeff Malone. Steady, smart, pure stroke and lets the game come to them vs. forcing things. We could do worse and no doubt we are desperate for floor-spreaders.

Standing reach can be computed.
And what absolutely shows there's a problem is Jae's standing reach. When he measure 3.75 inches shorter than he was measured just a few weeks earlier in Joizy, that can't be rationalized away.

I don't think this is true anymore. This isn't Andray Blatche's Wizards. With Nene, Seraphin, Booker, Vesely, Wall and Crawford, this team is full of guys who work hard and love to play. MKG would certainly fit into the new mindset, but I don't think we are a team that needs his leadership.

Agreed. I think people are living in the past when they say the Zards need MKG to be a leader and show them how to play hard.

This is why my money's on Charlotte taking MKG - they really need his leadership in a big way.

Who helped their stock the most in Chicago, according to sources? Draymond Green, Hollis Thompson, Will Barton, Damian Lillard, Meyers Leonard, Austin Rivers, Tony Wroten...
President Donald Trump referred to African countries, Haiti and El Salvador as "shithole" nations during a meeting Thursday and asked why the U.S. can't have more immigrants from Norway.

I've never been sold on MKG, and still don't get why he's so highly rated.
Yeah, he's very athletic and has some on-court intangibles, but where are the basketball skills and production to merit a top-5 pick? I see a lot more Gerald Wallace in him than Scottie Pippen.
Great glue guy, but potential Alpha scorer? I don't think so.

[b]Will Barton is "cheap to the curve". See him as big guard. Competes. Undervalued.

Re: 2012 NBA Draft - Part V
If beal goes 2nd, and asumeing cle is high on mkg, I would try to swap the 3rd and the 4th, while picking up their late 1st (24ish?) and upgrading our late 2nd to a earlier 2nd. With the 4th we would take trob.
It would be a nice consolation prize for missing out on beal. And if cle doest bite, we can just take mkg.

Thomas Robinson would work in that role too. Both guys are hard-working vocal leaders with infectious enthusiasm.
Beal is a hard worker who wouldn't hurt them in the locker room, but I don't get the sense that he has that same alpha-dog leadership quality. Chemistry-wise, Charlotte would be better off going with MKG or Robinson.
