So we may have our list of finalists by next weekend? Nearly a month since firing Otis? Six weeks since the end of the season?

*sigh*

Bower...and adding Malone or Clifford would be such a Magic move. All in-house picks, all safe, all in the family.

I'm not saying I want this process rushed, but I don't understand how they don't even have a list of finalists yet and may not even have one until a week from now. Even after doing a round of interviews. It is absurd. It is one thing to take your time and make sure you do your due diligence, it is another to completly drag your ass.

Steve Kyler ‏@stevekylerNBA
RT @BQRMagic: most surprising thing is Clifford <--- especially considering coaching staff outed Dwight Howard to the media about Stan

Got to wonder what Dwight's relationship with Clifford is like and if his consideration means we are trading Dwight.
Steve Kyler ‏@stevekylerNBA
RT @BelgianMagic: Brian Shaw not an option? ---> Does not seem to be.

Steve Kyler ‏@stevekylerNBA
RT @BelgianMagic: How bout Doc Rivers? StayDwight website claimed Doc would be GM candidate ---> He is not.

Steve Kyler ‏@stevekylerNBA
RT @407magic: So shaw ant an option any more ? ---> Gotta hire a GM first. But he is not a name candidates were asked to consider

Steve Kyler ‏@stevekylerNBA
RT @E_Money18: This new magic brass is very secretive ---> No they really are not. This is playing out in the open, not behind closed doors

Steve Kyler ‏@stevekylerNBA
RT @E_Money18: ---> you are waiting for something splashy, because whats out there is not very exciting... Magic not aiming for splashy

Steve Kyler ‏@stevekylerNBA
RT @E_Money18: ---> Alex Martins has been thorough. He has reached out to almost everyone on the GM search and narrowed it down.

Steve Kyler ‏@stevekylerNBA
RT @E_Money18: ---> I expect they will do the same with coaches.

Steve Kyler ‏@stevekylerNBA
RT @Hi_ImMecir: do you think Jameer Nelson's time with the magic is over? ---> he has until Friday to decide.

Steve Kyler ‏@stevekylerNBA
RT @Hi_ImMecir: ---> I think he'll opt-out, but that does not mean he's leaving or leaving the Magic in a lurch... can do a sign and trade

Steve Kyler ‏@stevekylerNBA
RT @407magic: why every week is there a new front runner fir both positions ? ---> because most people don't know how this works.

Steve Kyler ‏@stevekylerNBA
RT @407magic: why every week is there a new front runner? ---> The DeVos family will pick next GM and they haven't met anyone yet

Steve Kyler ‏@stevekylerNBA
RT @407magic: would Malone be a good pick and bower ? ---> I would hire Malone over Shaw, and I really like Shaw... and Bower is solid.

Steve Kyler ‏@stevekylerNBA
RT @407magic: im not sold on bower wouldn't one of the other 3 be a better choice ? ---> Lindsey would be my top choice... Weaver second.

Steve Kyler ‏@stevekylerNBA
RT @407magic: ----> keep in mind Magic tried the "King" approach with Otis Smith... next GM will be part of team decisions, not power

Steve Kyler ‏@stevekylerNBA
RT @E_Money18: ---> Doc Rivers is under contract to the Boston Celtics next year... if they return the bulk of the team, he'll be back.

Steve Kyler ‏@stevekylerNBA
RT @E_Money18: ---> again. I think the Magic would "like" to make a home run play, but its just not where they are in the process.

Steve Kyler ‏@stevekylerNBA
RT @BQRMagic: if Doc is a home run, does that make Bower a hit-by-pitch? <--- WOW... y'all hatin on Bower now. He's really a good guy

Steve Kyler ‏@stevekylerNBA
RT @E_Money18: ---> again, there is a reality to this that seems to be getting missed... Magic are down the road on a GM hire.

Steve Kyler ‏@stevekylerNBA
RT @E_Money18: Don't know too much about Malone besides he was on 12 "list". ---> The "list" concept is overstated. Its not a factor.

Steve Kyler ‏@stevekylerNBA
RT @CoachMaggie813: so there are no hard feelings between Doc and the Magic from his first go around ---> None of those people are there.

Steve Kyler ‏@stevekylerNBA
RT @CoachMaggie813: ---> Doc always speaks glowingly of the DeVos family and the Magic organization... He's not a GM type, he's a coach

I'm sure the team is just doing what it needs to do on their speed, not ours or anyone else. It's nowhere near our decision. Besides, we don't know what's really going on, as they chose to keep this behind closed doors and not open to the public. So if we're not getting information or news, it doesn't mean they "don't even have a list". It just means they're not going public with anything and most likely Dwight is involved, since he's been really silent as of late, like he's been kept in touch, rumors of him NOT wanting to be traded... so maybe a lot is happening behind those LOCK-DOWN doors (hah, had too) and to be honest, that's smart business.

So yeah... Amway is finally really on lock-down. Imagine that.

I just hope we take the Draft a bit seriously this season.....i know there are circumstances that takes precedence(Dwight) but there is some real talent in this draft.....i'm sure we're doing our research but man it just feels like the focus isn't there.....I've watched some Prospect interviews and the only players that i've heard interview with us is Terrence Jones and Tony Wroten i believe....i'm at my wit's end here lol

OT and late, but KG has become my favorite player to ever ball... He's one of kind in any sport, that guy plays every second like his last..

stevekylerNBA is a tweet spammer who is wrong most of the time. He speaks before he thinks. I thought people figured that out around the trade deadline...

Kyler also never answers directly, he is always conservative and never gives an insightful answer because he never wants to be wrong. His responses hold no more weight than mine or yours..

I had to leave after I posted those Kyler tweets, but I meant to post the tweets Josh Robbins had following Kyler's because I felt like Robbins was maybe discrediting Kyler...
Josh Robbins ‏@JoshuaBRobbins
Some readers assume BShaw would be out of mix because of a report that possible GMs were asked to consider 2 other asst coaches

Josh Robbins ‏@JoshuaBRobbins
Did anyone consider possibility that GM candidates 1st said they'd consider Brian Shaw before other names were mentioned?

Josh Robbins ‏@JoshuaBRobbins
Don't misunderstand me: SClifford & MMalone can be great head coaches & should be considered. But don't jump to other conclusions

Contradictory to Kyler saying Shaw isn't an option. I'm not going to question his credibility. I did that once with Rudolph and ate crow. But it does seem stupid for the Magic to completely neglect Shaw.

I'm actually completly buying this. If I had to venture to guess I'd say it would be Portland or Phoenix. I could also see the Cavs taking Barnes then Rivers. Irving, Rivers, Barnes, and Thompson ain't a bad 1-4!

I can understand considering Michael Malone, but Steve Clifford??? That's the type of Magic "Keep it in the family" bull that we don't need. I want Shaw, Malone, or McMillan. If we keep Dwight, then I would really like McMillan. If we're rebuilding, then I want Shaw or Malone.
