Trade Offer-Deng

Post#1 » by pipfan » Sat Jun 2, 2012 10:37 pm

Would Sac do the #5 and Garcia for Deng? I know you would prefer us taking Salmons, but we need the cap space next summer, if we did a redo around dealing Noah and Deng.

Deng would help your D a ton. He would also help space for Evans and Cousins. Plus,he's tough and super professional. He would help the team culture.

His deal is only for 2 years

I see Sac draft drummond and regretting adding another high maint. case to the team

I think we could get more than Deng for the #5 and we would have to trade Tyreke.

Bulls do it to save $,get a younger piece around Rose and hopefully have a healthier player

Sac does it for a very good, young Vet to help their young core

The Bulls are at the stage, like a lot of teams with a cap structure built to win within a 2 year window, where they are going to have to look at dumping some of their bigger deals with hopes of retaining talent on rookie scale or cheap contracts. Conversely the Kings are at the stage where they'll be looking to do the opposite, I just don't know if Deng is the guy.

I would totally be down for a deal of 5 OR Evans for Deng and Gibson though.

I would love Deng and Gibson but that would be way too much for the Bulls.

5 and Garcia for Deng and Gibson. I would do that easily and not look back.

IT/Jimmer
Evans/Thornton
Deng/Williams
Gibson/Thompson
Cousins/Hayes

If only we had a coach who could make it work

What about the #5, Jimmer and Cisco for Deng and Korver?

You'd shed some more salary, and pick up another young player with potential. For us, we'd drastically improve our SF position, add more defense, and improve our bench.

Or we could swap korver for brewer, different mindset there, but I like his defense. Having him at the two and deng at the three is pretty solid
Sometimes you just have to look yourself in the mirror and say....Tyreke Evans.
That just happened.

From a Bulls perspective that's pretty good value for Deng. Would you really be so quick to give up on Jimmer?

Another thought, would you be willing to trade Evans for Deng straight up, or maybe with $3m cash going to SAC? I know there is room to absorb Deng's deal, but just wondering if the Kings will consider increasing salary next season.

I can understand that. Kings would probably just can it and look at Gibson when he's a free agent in another year if their frontcourt still isn't complete.

Well, they say they are but if they draft another project I can see them holding off and waiting to make a deal.

I suppose I'd trade Deng for Evans straight up, but i'm curious how they would play together too. But off we did that, it would allow us to move the pick in another deal and pick up someone else. Maybe go after josh Smith, or big to pair with Cousins.

If Drummond drops to 5, would you move your pick with Salmons and Garcia for Pierce?

No way.

Why would we want a player who is on the verge on retiring in a couple of years? It's Rondo or bust if you guys want the #5 deal.
