And if you are, who would you rather have at that pick? IMO if jones falls that far we will be lucky to have him. The kid WILL be a star in a few years, and IMO in 5 years will be the best player from this draft, yes better than Davis, who will have an okafor type of career, not bad, but not the superstar everyone makes him out to be... Jones on the other hand, nearly 7 feet tall, with a handle, and range for height... And a solid 235, and long... You just can't teach that. And the skills are clearly there, he just needs to land in the right situation and I hope that's with us

Oh and say no to Marshall... I could average 10 assists if I never looked for my shot and played that many damn minutes...

This isn't the NFL, skill matters much more than physical attributes; Perry Jones is all potential and has very little skill at the moment. As for who I'd like to pick, Terrence Ross is my choice. I think he'll easily be the 2nd best shooting guard in the draft after Beal and his ceiling is prime JRich with better D.

I agree with you on Ross, however, I think he gets picked before we have a chance.

Back to jones, he has ALOT of potential, and the skillset is there, it just needs to be polished. But when it is, could you imagine that monster, with that 7'2" wingspan shooting over all of the other 6'7" 3s in the league. He is a matchup nightmare, and can legit play 3 and 4. There is no question about his position. And he is tall and long enough to play 5 for stretches.

I think the potential alone is too big to pass him up

If he gets a consistent jumper he will be one of the top 3 players from this draft. BOOK IT.

I love his versatility & his attitude, & well his game speaks for itself.

All things I've been saying for over a week now. When he improves his outside shot he'll be a good sf. The mechanics are there, the bad part of playing in st johns was thzt he played the pf instead of out on the perimeter as a 3.

I don't dislike Moe Harkless but I think you guys should temper expectations when most scouts are saying his best case is Trevor Ariza lulz

If he goes undrafted he better be on our summer league roster because I think he can be a very nice player off the bench at the PG position.

SOLD! Too bad we're not gonna get him because it would be too good to be true. LOL.

Paul george was being compared to trevor ariza as well coming into the NBA and look at him now hes one of the best up and comers. when you look at georges and harkless' freshman stats theyre almost identical where the only real difference is george was a much better 3point shooter and their strengths and weaknesses are also the same. But i wouldnt be mad at all if the Magic took harkless at 19

Getting a guy like Ariza with #19 pick is pretty good, IMO.

Ariza is a good player to get at 19. I think Perry has more potential so if he does indeed fall to us I'd hope they'd snatch him up.

Moe Harkless actually shot pretty well at the combine and I think he can become a solid shooter in the NBA. The biggest concern I have with Harkless are his handles because they are very elementary right now, but he is working on them. I really wouldn't be upset if land any of the small forwards we have been talking about from Quincy Miller to Moe Harkless.

Ok so at 19 based off of mock drafts that i've seen the prospects in our range is......

Perry Jones
Terrence Jones
Tyler Zeller
Moe Harkless
Jeff Taylor
Royce White
Marquis Teague
Quincy Miller
Tony Wroten
Arnett Moultrie

Not a bad talent poll to choose from...That's 10 prospects right there and not everyone of them are going lottery so a few of those guys will still be on the board when it's our turn to select....There are more guys but those are the guys who i feel have talent right now with some upside....i really can't wait until the draft....there is no doubt that this years draft is deep....

hes a sf like lamar odom is a sf in that hes a 7footer with decent handles. my guess is he will play pf cause i doubt he has the foot speed to guard sfs and he certainly doesnt have the strength to guard centers

i know he seems like a safe and boring pick, but everything I read about Jeff Taylor says he is one of the better wing defenders in the draft and is ready to play now. does he have no bandwagon?

He is my 2nd choice at 19, Teague being the 1st.

He has the length and there are slower 3's in the league... The dude is a 3 that will have to play 4 later in his career as he gets bigger (see Odom)

My Thing about Taylor is he's another guy who can't create on his own....but he is a great defender...he can guard 1-3 and i like that versatility defensively.....his comparison is Wilson Chandler so that's not too bad...better than a Ariza comparison lol

People say the same about Kendall Marshall and Marshall doesn't have a jump shot. Don't need Kendall to score, need him to be the great floor general he is. Don't need Taylor to score, need him to be the wing defender he is.
