your opinion or you know this to be the case?

if its the case, what are we looking to deal to move up?
I know they're trying to move up. I don't know exactly what they offered, but I have ideas based on who I've been told is available and in their long term plans, and who I know they've been talking to higher in the draft. But, if I had a lot of concrete info that I was allowed to report on, I wouldn't be spilling it on a message board :)
Where would u spill the concrete info at that would genuinely appreciate the info more then a message board
this lol.... we can keep a secret! honest!

Beal is said to be a lock to the Wizards.

Oops.. I forgot about the Wiz. Yes, I think Wiz takes Beal. Cavs takes MKG. Then same scenario plays again..

Kings get Barnes because he solves their team needs and is probably the BPA.

The Blazers again pose a major threat to select Drummond. Do you think they'd opt for Sulliner over Drummond? They are about to have a heavy payroll after signing Batum. Blazers' other pick is definitely for Lilliard this one is for the big guy to pair LMA. Will it be Drummond or Sullinger? Their selection determines our faith if we move up.

If PTB picks Drummond, we end up with Sullinger and vice versa.

Doug Collins does not want a pick for Iguodala he wants to win now.

My best guess is that we look to replace Brand with Sullinger using Iggy to do it.

With D-Bods noting that we aren't targetting a specific pick, that would seem to rule out the guys who will go in the top 6 (Davis, Robinson, MKG, Beal and Drummond for sure in some order, Barnes maybe). Toronto and GSW are in the 7-8 spots where either Sullinger is available, or if he moves up, one of the top six slips down.

Sullinger would be an immediate upgrade on Brand who would be amnestied, traded or maybe play a lot of center this year.

Iggy is the guy to trade because he has the requisite value, there is a need for veteran SF's in the top ten and the mileage on his legs is starting to show with the chronic achilles condition. Turner to SF/point forward where his awful shooting can be hidden, and hopefully upgraded to mediocre by next season.

I do hope we keep the 15 and draft a shooter or center in the scenario above.

If we trade up to pick Sullinger, I may have to find a new team to root for.

A year from now we will be talking about never drafting another player from OSU now that we have two busts from there on the roster.

If so Robinson or MKG could likely fall... interesting.

That would be a terrible move. We arent going to trade up and if we did it would be for Drummond.

That's funny because it takes us back to the whole argument: Who impacts the game more? Monta Ellis or Andre Iguodala, Marcus Thornton or Gerald Wallace.

If I'm a young up and coming team like Washington with an apparent franchise player already in place, there is no way that I'm passing on a multi-aspect impacting player like MKG in favor of a volume scorer like Beal.

yep. passing on MKG would be a major mistake for the wiz. Not just because of his physical attributes but the attitude he has would go a long way towards a change of mentality in washington.

Guys I would trade up for are Thomas Robinson or Andre Drummond. The rest im torn on. MKG I would trade up for but that would be trading Iggy for MKG and that may end up being pretty lateral in the long run.

I hope this happens...

Call me crazy (and mind you, I only saw the two games he played against UK) but I wasn't terribly impressed with Beal. The first game he put up just a miserable statline (and was pretty much non existant) and the second game he kept them close but I was never really taken aback by his ability.

What's wrong with a lateral move from Andre Iguodala? Especially a young version on a rookie deal? I would keep drafting Iguodala's every 8 years as long as we didn't f*** up his contract when it came time to re-up him.

i dont think iguodala will be traded for a pick unless they like the player alot they get in addition to the pick. Said that before.

I dont think it will be a straight salary dump for igoudala to get the pick. Just not enough on free agency to make it worthwhile to do that with all that cap space from Iguodala trade, brand amnesty and Lou opt out(we all know hawes is gone already)

To answer an earlier question, no timetable on their moves...could be before, during or after draft with an Iguodala trade. They could keep him too...but I get a sense that they know a scorer and a big man must be obtained and Andre's name comes up the most when they talk with teams.

If there is a trade done tho....I think Jefferson or Gasol is most likely.....and in third place is the Toronto one with Calderon,Davis and #8 or some variation of it. Of the trades I know about(I dont hear everything)

SF1976, do they still believe they have a shot at Deron Williams? And do you believe they will offer Eric Gordon a contract, even with the injury scare?

I just don't see the team giving up Iggy for Drummond. The guy is a huge risk/reward player and one you likely won't get much return on for the next couple of years even if he does develop. That means taking away your best player for someone who won't contribute for a while, if at all.

I'm not saying I wouldn't take the risk on Drummond, I probably would, I just don't see this ownership group wanting to take a step back like that for a possible bigger step forward in several years. A guy like Sullinger is much more NBA ready and while I don't think he will be a star, I think he will be a solid starting PF for ten years in this league. Obviously Robinson would me more ideal, but I just don't see any way we get him.

Drummond would be the target only if he blows the team away in a workout or they have plans to bridge the gap between now and when he might develop (kid sounds frighteningly like Daryl Dawkins to be truthful).
