Nah I disagree about not getting ANY contributions from Drummond. He won't contribute offensively for a while. But I think he'll come in as a defensive post presence and shotblocker from the get-go.

I do not think they will go after gordon at all no.

As for Deron...they will try but do they have a shot? only deron and his agent know that. They will offer him the max and Dr. J will try and sell him on being a sixers but other teams can do similar.

All I know is that if Deron does give us a look and we're publicly in the running for him, it will be a great look for Josh Harris and our franchise going forward.

And all I know is if the Sixers sign Deron to the max and amnesty Brand, they better be looking to make a big trade of Jrue/Turner/picks for D12. No reason not to do it at that point. You know D12 wants to play with Iggy and Deron, so it's a good bet he'd re-sign for long term. The money can come from Hawes, Lou, Nocioni, Turner, Jrue, Thad (if need be), and the picks the Sixers would be giving up.

Run out there with Deron, Iggy, and Dwight for the next 3-4 years and good things will happen.

I was wondering why they brought in the doctor without giving him any kind of understandable title. He + Will Smith are really for free agent recruiting (even though Smith is an owner. He's the Jay-Z of the Sixers  ). Well played Josh Harris, well played.

I don't disagree on that, but it won't be the kind of contributions you get from your best player in Iggy in the short term. Most raw young guys like Drummond will end up as being very foul prone for a couple of years, so his court time would be limited by that and by Collins. They could sign a short-term contract with someone like Kaman to keep the team competitive while Drummond develops, splitting time with him and keeping the pressure off Drummond a bit while he grows into his game.

Like I said, there are guys out there that the team could grab to keep them at or near their current level, or possibly someone they get back in a trade for Iggy with the draft pick (of course then the pick would not be high enough to get Drummond).

Jefferson is Meh, the Toronto deal included our pick too, so no to that version of it, Gasol...do that and suddenly we become more attractive to Deron I think.

Deron is a game changer, I just don't have any confidence that he will come here no matter how much they try. If he did then I would be very interested to see what they do with Jrue, he probably has the most trade value on the team currently.

Honestly, I don't care if we get worse in the short term as long as we secure Drummond and begin developing him for the long term. We all know the playoffs was fool's gold. Even our front office has been alluding to it. So we should be less concerned with maintaining competitiveness with our return for Iguodala.

I really think the Drummond talk is a decoy.

They are fine waiting for Terrence Ross or Austin Rivers at 15. They are big fans of Ross. I think they like Waiters more but view Ross just a tad behind Waiters.

They do like Waiters alot and know a trade up would be mandatory to get him. Thats why the Calderon deal is somewhat intriguing to them. If Waiters is there at 8, would they move Iguodala for Calderon, Ed Davis and Waiters? Quite possibly. If he isnt already gone to LA or Utah. Not sure where talks are..but could they talk toronto into taking our 2nd round picks instead of #15 from their original offer? If so....maybe a big like Zeller or Leonard is there? Leonard was impressive at the combine.

Still early......

Say Drummond is sitting there at 6...we know Portland wants a PG....anyone willing to deal Jrue to draft Drummong? We could then focus #15 on Marshall if he's there. If not, you have some decent options in FA.

Could also look to trade 15 to Boston for their 2 #1's if they have a guy they want. Then draft a guy like Teague at 21/22.

I do not think Will Smith is here to recruit. I mean if they ask him he will I am sure. But I think the role was specific to Dr. J.

Sixerfan....say they don't get the SG's you proposed there.

Do you think there's any chance the Sixers might be interested in bringing in Ray Allen on a 2 year deal. I know he's ancient, but there's still only a handful of guys who can shoot it better than him in the league. Since it's unlikely they do the "blow up" option by moving Iguodala for youth, I could see a fit there.

what on earth would we plan to do with rivers if we drafted him? would we really start him at SG and turner at SF????

we would have an AWFUL perimeter defense with no rim protectors to boot....

atleast if we got ross he would probably slide rite into the starting SF role since he can hit 3's allowing turner to stay at SG... that makes more sense..

austin rivers makes no sense for this team unless he is just literally taking over lou's spot... and im not comfortable drafting a 6th man with the 15th pick

Ray Allen would depend on what else they do.

Austin Rivers would be the Lou role if they got him. You should be able to fill starting SG/SF and big man thru trade/free agency.

I like Terrence Ross alot too.

to Krazy's point. Would Ray Allen want to sign here? depends what else we do. Do we have a role for him? depends what else we do.

He is better than Meeks and i still think they bring him back unfortunately(he is a doug guy, whatever that is)

Why wouldn't he? Does hit fit on any of the title contenders and if so, do they have $$ to offer. That wiretap speculates the Knicks, Miami and Bulls...none of those teams have ANY $$ to offer. If we amnesty Brand, we could make him a much better offer on a short contract.

I dont think so on Lou unless its a real team friendly deal. But they may revisit if things go their way in free agency. To me Austin Rivers makes alot of sense if you know Lou is going to opt out. But I prefer Ross....I actually prefer Waiters to ross and Beal to Waiters(as so does the draft board) but I do not think they can get up to Beal territory. But I think they would be really really happy if Ross was at 15 and no trade was made.
