Honestly can someone tell me how this guy will be any better than Noah or even Tyson Chandler? Yet people are saying Irving + number 4 would be a better trade? What???

Irving will be a top 5 PG in a couple years,AD's future is unknown. Honestly if Drummond(who was supposed to be the 1st pick and had all the hype before college started) had the drive to push himself and not be passive then it'd be a better risk because he has the whole package ala Dwight. I don't see anything special in Davis that would warrant trading him for Irving or any superstar.

Next step is to offer these 4 picks plus offer to take Okafor and Ariza off their hands to save them a boat load of money,

4th and Tristian Thompson for Josh Smith

PG-Kyrie
SG-Shannon Brown (signing)
SF- Brandon Rush (signing)
PF-Josh Smith
C- Anderson Varejao

thats a pretty nice team ...5th seed probably in East

young good legs ...a couple of slashers that can score or spot up ..
Josh and Anderson play solid defense and protect rim ..
Brandon Rush can shoot 3s and be a perfect swing ..
Brown can get more burn possibly lead that team in scoring

Brown -17 ppg
Kyrie -16 ppg -8 assist
Josh Smith -16/9 rebs
Brandon Rush 12 ppg- couple of threes
Anderson 11/10 rebs

No thanx.

And lol and brown being our leading scorer and scoring 17ppg.

I for one want absolutely nothing to do with Josh Smith and there is absolutely no way the Cavs give up #4 for him.

LoL

I wouldn't even consider trading Kyrie for Davis. That was a terrible post on your part.

What happened to winning one before Lebron?

People have no idea how good kyrie is/will be, this is absurd  The guy is going to be BETTER than Anthony davis. Both of them together would make the cavs contenders in a few years.
.
I'd give the 4th, the 24th, 33rd and tristan (and take Ariza if they want to get rid of him) for Davis, but that's it. Irving is a PROVEN player, ROY, future all-star. Anthony Davis is a prospect and never played a single NBA game.
.
The Hornets are the ones that need to give something for Kyrie.

The Hornets aren't the one interested in a trade so they need to give nothing. While Davis hasn't proven anything in the NBA, Irving has only played 51 games which doesn't show much more than maybe the potential to be a Damon Stoudamire someday. Maybe better, maybe not.

Both are prospects whose value is in their potential. I would not trade a clear cut #1 in a better draft this year unless I get at least last year's #1, Irving in return. I wouldn't do this trade without Irving if I was NO.

That offer is horrible. The drop off from #1 to #4 is monumental. Like the drop off from Dwight Howard to Chris Kaman lol. 3 below average picks aren't going to help.

Btw this writer is pretty dumb. Low lotery=4? mid range first rounder=24? Lmao

Seriously? Giving up the first pick for a guy who you hope can become a solid rotation guy (24) and two picks who may not even make the roster is a fair offer?

But, but, I thought Stern was still the owner and that's why the lottery was rigged for the Hornets?

Just a bunch of hate on Stern, who is a damn good commisioner. Him stepping in to clean up the mess Demps made was simply amazing. People can hate all they want, the Hornets franchise is in much better condition than they would have been had they kept the terrible haul Demps got for CP3.

The Cleveland Cavaliers offered four draft picks to the New Orleans Hornets for the right to draft Anthony Davis. A low lottery pick, a mid-range first rounder, and two premier second-round picks is not a terrible offer. But when the player is on the caliber of Anthony Davis, no offer is reasonable. Many analysts peg the consensus No. 1 overall pick to have a similar NBA career as Kevin Garnett.

You cannot be serious.

I don't want to be That Guy, but I would just refrain from ever talking about the Cavs if I were you. I read your posts whenever I see them and for the most part they are good, but you are beyond irrational when the topic of the Cavs comes up.

I don't know if it has anything to do with the weird hangup that the Raptors fans have with the Cavs or what, but it is odd.

Don't believe me on my previous claim? Read any thread about the lottery in the Raptors forum and you will see what I am talking about. The popular narrative with you guys is "it's not fair that they had LeBron for 7 years and as soon as he leaves, Stern gifts them Kyrie!"

This will probably go over like a fart in church, but whatever. It's true.

They should have offered 4, 24, and anyone outside of Kyrie Irving.

I'm guessing this was vetoed for basketball reasons. As in Stern gave the pick to the Hornets for a reason. If he wanted the Cavs to have it, he would've just given it to them, lol.

lol@ CLE thinking they can get b2b #1 picks. I guess their blatant tanking wasn't enough, now they think they can bribe their way to #1. I think if a team had the 2nd and 3rd picks and offered both for #1 it wouldn't even be a fair deal then, let alone for 4/24. Thats a joke offer, tbh.
