Nats recall Bryce Harper; MLB debut 4/28/12
Ryan Z gets placed on the disabled list, but WOW. I figured May or June, but this probably means Rizzo and co. are saying "**** it" and are going for the jugular. Davey said once Bryce is called up, he's here to stay. Hopefully this means he's here to stay.

Crazy. Thought it would be at least June even with the injuries, but why not?

Seems like there's already a mini ticket rush for Tuesday--it will be interesting to see if it even comes close to a sellout.

That was an incredible game last night in Harper's debut, although the nats lost. Really had a playoff feel to it.
Scary 4th inning today when Gio got hit by a line drive and Harper crashed into the wall with his shoulder and wrist taking away a shot from Juan Uribe.
Both appear fine, although unless the Nats get something going in the 9th, they're about to be swept by the Dodgers in three close games.
Tyler Moore up now too making his pro debut. With no room at first with LaRoche smoking it he played right today and will play the outfield corners. DeRosa now on the DL.

DeRosa and Nady need to be cut. Seriously, just end the experiment and drop them and hope they latch on somewhere else. Tracy is getting to that point as well, the bench is just as bad if not worse than last years.
And Espinosa, Desmond? It didn't take long for those two guys to start stinking up the joint. These two are not top of the order bats, Desmond and Espy are probably 6th or 7th in the batting order.

Have to agree. Was willing to give Nady some rope as he's had some bad luck, and had that clutch homer at Nats Park, but he looked pathetic versus Capuano yesterday. Pathetic.
It looks like Harper might play center versus lefties, with Moore in left, and play left with Ankiel in center versus righties. Enough of Nady.
Very impressed with Harper's approach at the plate. Impressed he took the walk yesterday in the 9th against Janssen.

Starting to really become a fan of Harper, just because of his hustle. Have to wonder if he has a 20 year career for how long he'll sprint as hard as possible after every ball he grounds to the infield...

He's young, fresh legs. When he's 25-26 years old, his hustle will still be there, but it won't be as hard...if that makes sense? I guess what I'm saying is he'll learn to play the game without having to go 110% all the time.

Can't believe Hamels plunked Harper for no reason. I don't mind it terribly, but seemed a little curious.

Already leads the team in triples and he hasn't even been up a month. He seems to be adjusting though which is good.

Kid is the real deal, came off the bench in yesterday's game, drew a walk, and then scored from first on a double by Bernadina. I may be close to buying a Harper jersey.

Amazing how Harper has been able to turn a bratty reputation into one of a young Charlie Hustle. Everyone is just in love with his energy and effort.
