Hopefully his regression this year was attributed to his ankle. I really hope he does win. I would hate to have to use anther pick on another PF.

Really think his regression was more so a sophomore slump

His ankle caused him to miss so many wide open jumpshots?

he went into this season right after a surgery. about the time he was able to play through that he had that nasty fall which slowed him down some more. had a wicked crazy neck brace too, dunno if any yall remember. then i dunno, he stopped giving 100%, became inconsistent, lost confidence. having that congested schedule didnt help

he'll come back strong next season. aiming for the mip is gonna take a lot of time in the gym

I won't pretend I can relate to the physical stresses the NBA players have to deal with. I can't. However I am starting to have problems with my left ankle.

I had right knee surgery, (Arthroscopy and Meniscus repair) about 1 1/2 years ago. No problems, even probably better than it was. (My surgeon does our Elite Australian Footballer's.) so it's no problem in other words. Lately, I have been getting pain in the arch of my left foot, as well as on the outside of the ankle, right in the joint.

I can't dunk at the moment off the left foot, (running dunks, being right handed, I dunk off the left foot.) I can only do two footed plants to dunk, and even then, it causes pain in the left ankle doing so. Landing shocks it as well.

You can't explode either, (not that I really explode anymore at 34, but you get the point.) Hell, I can't even push off to walk upstairs without it causing pain.

And when you shoot jumpshots. It is probably the easiest out of all, but if the pain hit's mid shot, then it can definately throw you out.

So I can see why it is causing problems.

Brad Miller got more explosive as he got older.

You're pretty tall aren't you, kam? I think that there has to be a direct correlation to foot/ankle injuries really affecting big men more than smaller guys.

Lucky bastard. I'm only 32 and it's gotten to where my knee swells like a water balloon any time I try and jump. A year and a half ago I was already complaining about having gone from a 36" vert to a 24" one, now I'm down to like freaking 8".

Bite me, age.

Im not saying I ever had massive hops, and I have pretty long arms. At best, I was touching the top of the black square. I'm currently about half way up that square.
