of all my days following the draft. it has never gone accordingly. There is always 1 or 2 teams, that reach for a player, because they cant manage a trade down, or GMs draft boards change afterwork outs.
prime examples last year. Tristian Thompson going 4rth and Bismack Biyombo going 8ish?
and players like Brandon Knight and Kemba Walker falling, who were expected to go top 5 and 6

In the late lottery? God no. Crowder is a second round guy for sure. I;d love to grab him there, but not in the first round.

I like Crowder but HELLLLLLLLL NO!
Davis should be able to net you someone around 16+ not a kid who could easily slide into the 2nd rd.

but he played so good in march madness
he would be a huge steal in the draft
okay, maybe not ed but someone else
the kid's got a great motor, although being undersized he plays the game well

It's hard to get past the fact that a lot of your posts look like haiku.
I do like Crowder a lot in a Bruce Bowen-y kind of way, and I'd agree that he could be a real value pick in the second round.

Again I like Crowder too but he is really undersized and not that highly skilled...you should only need to package 2nd rdrs at absolute most to get him or one 2nd rdr and cash. You dont trade a former lotto pick (who still has room to grow and can be a double double player with more minutes) for a likely 2nd rdr....that just crayyy.

^ Oakley, you and I don't agree on things too often (as seen per our back and forth posts recently), but I've been saying all along that Waiters is our pick at #8 going to Philly.
We don't agree? Well if you called the Waiters going home good on you because it is just so like BC to say "who do you want at 8? Waiters? No problem. We'll take Harkless although I'd prefer Ross. Iggy as a max paid distributor/defender should make Demar better in theory. If Nash also comes on board BC no doubt gets immediately extended. I think we need to amnesty someone to get both Iggy and Nash. I'm guessing Nash will come here if Iggy gets landed. I also could see BC take Canadians, Joseph and Sacre in the second round and stash them in Europe as part of an enticement. Not saying the raptors will draft like that but if you are doing a draft/stash might as well have players that can join Maurizio's summer program.

I disagree (sort of). He's a very good shooter from range and a tier one defender. He's also pretty good on the boards and has a great feel for the game. What he can't do is handle the ball (at all) or guard faster perimeter players (combo guard and PG types). With multiple definable NBA level skills he's value in the second round. He's a role player, but that's fine in the second, especially when he's already got a defined role.

http://blogs.mercurynews.com/kawakami/2 ... nterviews/But you didn’t have to witness the actual workout to know what was at stake: Terrence and Perry Jones are two of the Warriors’ most likely options with the No. 7 overall pick and it’s no secret team execs wanted an up-close view of them playing against each other.
I think TJ can play the SF position better than PJ3 cos at least TJ has the perimeter shooting range and deceptive perimeter moves to play the SF. He'll likely be a power small forward type of guy, and his defense is pretty good too (timing, footwork).

Depending on who the team grabs in the first I like Crowder, Barton, Machado, and Doron Lamb (in no particular order).

Kim English -would be a great shooter off the bench for the raptors, able to contribute right away because of it.
Robert Sacre -with the last pick to replace Mags both hardnosed tough guys
Tony Wroten- potential steal

+1000000
Tony Wroten will be the steal of the draft if he falls in a good sitation, I have no problem trading our 2 2nd rounders for late to mid 20s to snag a guy like wroten or teague but preferably wroten.

Yeah, if Wroten drops all the way to the second round then he's an obvious upside pick.
