Teague with a 40 inch vert kinda takes me by surprise....that's a couple inches higher than D. Rose

And Calipari guards have done well in NBA, Rose, Wall, Tyreke and Brandon Knight.

Tweeners from the past few years in our range:
Tobias Harris
Austin Daye
James Johnson

Solid PG's taken at 17-21 in the past few:
Eric Bledsoe
Jrue Holiday
Ty Lawson
Jeff Teague
Eric Maynor
Darren Collison

And seeing as scouts say Marquis is a better version of Jeff and hes got a 40inch vert, I say grab him if he falls. Quincy Miller on the other hand, is nothing near Kevin Durant, never will be. What makes KD so good is that he can take people off the dribble and Miller does NOT have a first step at all.

Nice points, but I think Miller is a little more Paul Pierce-ish than Durant at the moment. He seems to have the step back jumper down very well and the high IQ for using fakes and good passing. If Miller/PJ3 are off the board, I'd go with Marshall/Wroten/Teague in that order, I'm just not sure what Teague will bring that's special, he will need to score primarily or learn to pass better if we really want to see an upgrade from Jameer like so many complain from.

The problem with Jameer is his horrible lack of defense. If he had that and didn't turn over the ball so often, he'd be great. Love his offense!

What? He's one of the best at NOT turning the ball over. I agree with the rest though.

No, he's not one of the best at not turning the ball over... one of the worst starting PGs in the league.

Plus, he's probably the most glorified 12 ppg scorer in the history of the team.

I don't see how that proves me wrong? I saw a low amount of turnovers. Yeah, he didn't average that many assists, so, of course his assist-to-turnover ratio is low. He still doesn't turn the ball over that much. His problems were defense (just like you said), stamina, and inconsistency, not turning it over IMO.

I guess in that sense you're right and what I was referring to was meant in reference to his number of assists. So I should've criticized his defense and ability to be a more efficient passer were aspects of his game that I should've made a point on.

I know someone else posted some of the combine results, but here's the link...
http://www.draftexpress.com/nba-pre-draft-measurements/?year=2012&sort2=DESC&draft=0&pos=0&source=NBA%20Draft%20Combine&sort=16

things that surprised me the most...
Marquis Teague is almost on par athletically with John Wall
Jeff Taylor is an absolute athletic freak
Miles Plumlee... GOOD LORD. 6'11.75 with a 40.5 inch vert. Can touch 12'2'' and has one of the quickest agility times. Athletic freak much like Gortat was at the combine. Would love for him to fall/trade up to get him in the 2nd.
Impressed with Kendall Marshall's 37'' vert.

I got a huge laugh at Sullinger having the worst sprint and agility times AND at 268 pounds, can only bench press 185 nine times.

Anything stand out to you guys or catch you by surprise?

rondo was the 19th pick. We are at a good spot to get a pg.

Technically we did. Orlando wanted jameer prior to that years draft. Essentially Denver picked him for us in exchange for a 2005 1st rd pick. Denver was stacked at pg so it was pretty well known that Orlando and Denver had a deal in place.

Bench press: Marquette's Jae Crowder tested as the strongest athlete in the camp. He bench pressed a 185 pound bar 20 times. Meyers Leonard and JaMychal Green were next with 19 reps. Three players -- Will Barton, Tony Wroten Jr. and Tyshawn Taylor couldn't get the bar up one time.

No wonder he has such problems shooting the 3, he can barely get the ball there!!

We'll see in about 3-5 yrs, I'm telling you, he will be one of the elite PGs in the NBA.

^^^^not seeing it....i mean it's being said that his best case scenario is Jose Calderon? decent player but that's a borderline Starter......Not saying Marshall isn't talented.....it's just that i think people are so in love with the "Pass First" title that they overlook his CRITICAL flaws that can't be fixed in just 3-5 years....he just doesn't have great potential to me....no superstar potential....no allstar potential....i barely see Starter potential.....it would be a sad day for me if he fell to us and we selected him....a player who basically is almost at his peak already.....
