Lets face it...Wade

Post#1 » by GameTime_3 » Wed Jun 13, 2012 3:59 am

The OLD WADE is gone. No one wants to talk about it but the dude is gone. This Wade reminds me of Vince Carter. Looking to shoot the mid range jumper first and at times, he shows you flashes of what he used to be. Every year, their have been excuses for him. I wouldn't make this post if it was just one game but this is an entire season of seeing this WADE.

The good old days. This dude was hungry and wouldn't take NO for an answer.

It's not his team anymore, and he doesn't know how to not be the #1 option. He's lost on offense and his focus drifts in and out.

He was there in games 4-6 of the Indiana series....in a REALLY big way. A huge part of it is the knee. He has to pick his spots and can't go all out. Fortunately, there are 2 days off in between games 2 and 3 and games 5 and 6 for him to get that knee drained and give it one final two or thee game push.

Wade is fine. All this talk of injuries is nonsense. Give him the ball every time like we used to, and you'll see the old Wade ... but then Lebron would struggle. Wade was the Alpha dog here, and now they have him staring at another dog's butt. I don't know why people can't understand that that is the problem.

So Wade was healthy during the Pacers series and now his hurting? Either we say that he can play and we judge him or we admit he isn't the same player right now. This Wade is settling for jumpers and only jumpers. I feel like I'm watching Eddie Jones! Those that know me, understand what that means. A "superstar" can influence the game in other ways. But Wade is not. I LOVE WADE but what I'm seeing is a happy Wade.

But even Wade said himself that the best chance this team has of winning a championship is by LeBron being the alpha dog. Whether or not that means LeBron being the closer is another thing. I still feel more comfortable with LeBron being the main guy for the first 3 1/2 quarters and a *rested* Wade going HAM for the final 6 minutes to close it out.

Wade cant shoot wat do u want him to do. Part of it is pump faking a million times before he decides to shoot and fading away on top of that.

Wade did not go HAM today. When the game was going back and forth, LeBron attacked the basket and got a few fouls. Wade settled for the jumper. Go back to Boston. GAME 7, Wade settled for the Jumper almost every play. Did it go in? YES but is Wade's jumper good enough to beat Durant, Westbrook drives? I'm going NO!

Wade was playing like dog **** in the Pacers series until after Game 3. That is when he drained his knee. Did you forget that already?

He is not 100%. He might even need to drain his knee again.

It's really just the perfect storm

Wade's jumpers is on 10% of the time it seems.

His knee isn't right. The condensed schedule pretty much did him in. He needs the knee drained again.

I ask this...Do you really feel that WADE is giving his all? Is Wade playing to the level that he can? Watch the game over. I saw numerous plays where it wasn't an injury, it was him settling for the jumper. If that injury was that bad, then why could he attack a minutes later?

What the hell is he supposed to say? The franchise made a decision and asked him to accept it. He's saying the right things, but he's got to feel like the Heat stuck a knife in his back.

Did Wade even know how much time was on the clock in the last possession of the 3rd quarter?

I see Wade attacking and not getting calls.
I see a flustered Wade out there. He has no confidence in his jumper and is not getting the respect he's used to

Plus he's guarding a guy quicker than him. He looked outmatched tonight

Wade played well in the 1st half at least setting up his teammates. He was trying to get his the 2nd half. He had a terrible 3rd quarter. bad 4th

Well let's see what he does in Game 2. We may have to run the offense through Bosh a bit more if this is going to become a regular occurrence.

You're fooling yourself contract. Wade knew what he was getting himself into when he brought in LeBron and Bosh. If you're going to put the blame on Wade for not being able to handle the role of 2nd option then the entire Miami Heat Big 3 experiment is Wade's fault since he lobbied for LeBron and Bosh in the first place.

Well, Wade didn't know the NBA is rigged and that David Stern and the zebras would change how they call fouls.

Wade has to get hit on the head with a crowbar for them to call a foul for Wade nowadays.

sigh, I love that a mod and probably a guy who has been a Heat fan longer than I have been, is saying something like this.

I may keep repeating myself and sound like a Wade hater, but I've been seeing people who have been saying the same thing. So I know it's just not me.

Yes, his knee is injured. Wade had some nice blocks and whatnot. But Fisher was even blowing by him.

Tonight he didn't look like he wanted to win it. And his decision making has been terrible. It's more than just his knee.

But I kind of gave up wanting a huge outing from Wade when he sucked in Game 6 against Boston. An elimination game, on the road. LeBron solidified that "this is my team" in Game 6 against Boston.

He was better in game 7, HE HAD NO CHOICE! But yeah.. old Wade is gone. I don't even see the heart anymore.

Wade always gets a pass for crappy play though, which I have not liked. I'm a Heat fan first. Wade has been my favorite player and I use to defend everything Wade did, but when he started to yell at refs for fouls, that's when I stopped. He keeps looking for fouls instead of playing... even did it today. It's so annoying.

The guy is 30 and has been injury prone in his career. What did you guys expect? For him to be as good as he was in 06 forever? Age catches up to you. No matter how much you pride you have that you want to deny it.

This is what is happening with Wade. His pride is not allowing him to say "damn I need to change my game because I can't get to the lane like I use to".

Age catches up to you. Simple as that. I guess most of you are in your 20s but you will figure it out when you get to be 30.
