He does have a outside shot of being drafted in the 2nd. Hope it happens. I don't think 3 Canadians have ever been drafted in the same year. Even Kris isn't a lock at this point to be drafted

doesn't seem to be much buzz out there about him getting into first round. i guess we'll see. looking at first round mocks. not sure centers are in vogue as much anymore vs. pre 3 point line?

I would use pick 56 on him, assuming we didnt take a big @ 37 and there wasn't a better stash-able European available at the pick (IE Josep Franch).

He is a legit seven footer who is 263 who plays defense and is an amazing FT shooter, you could do a lot worse at the backend of the draft.

No to Sacre, no to Kris Joseph, no to Acy, no to Davoe Joseph.
Only Canadian I would take - Andrew Nicholson. Screw Acy undersized PF, we have better PF's on our team, you would like this scrub to steal minutes from Amir and Ed? I would not. Kris Joseph, well I would rather take Jae Crowder, Quincy Miller or Will Barton, one will be eventually available. Davoe Joseph he is not his brother, rather hope Tyshawn Taylor, Scott Machado to drop to us.

For me the second round begins and ends with Scott Machado. If we don't move down in the draft and manage to sign Nash, he'd be someone that could really benefit from going against Nash every day in practice.... Even without Nash, I'd want him here. Getting a pass first point guard who was the NCAA leader in assists for a second round pick is a steal.

Almost forgot Miller and Wroten. If either slips to the second round they're great deals on the cheap. Both have huge potential.

Second round steals:

1) Orlando Johnson, built for the NBA, HARD working, great range and decent ball handling.

2) Hollis Thompson, buttery jumper will be on an NBA bench for years.

Is it me or is this draft loaded in the second round. I see alot of potential NBA players in the second round. There is no reason for BC not to find a good talented player in the second round. If he works his magic he can even find a good player at the end of the draft.

Id love to get Darius Miller in the second round if hes available, Q-Miller is another guy that would be good. Jae Crowder, Will Barton, Doron Lamb, Hollis Thompson are some other solid players. Jared Cunningham is another interesting player. Scott Machado would be a nice player to get too.

Id also really like to get Quincey Acy. Hes plays harder then everyone, not the most talented but he makes up for it with his hustle and athletism. He was a better player for baylor then Perry Jones.

He would make sense if we trade Ed Davis, he seems like a dwayne casey type player too.

I think the best thing for 2nd Round draft picks is just to grab some unknown Euro, stash him away for a couple of years, and hopefully he pans out. If he does, just sign him down the road. Unless you are REALLY lucky finding a good non euro to come in right away and produce, but the chances of that are a lot slimmer than people realize. At least if the Euro isint NBA material he will still have a productive career overseas where he is accustomed to and likely happy , while the non Euro is likely out of the NBA and stuck in NBDL hell for the rest of his career or overseas which was not his intention and probably wont be happy.

More and more, NBA teams are pushing drafted Americans to go to Europe. This certainly applies to second rounders who have no leverage.

I wouldnt mind sending our late second round pick to europe. But our early second round pick should be on our roster next season. I know BC has said he doesnt want too many rookies but we arent good enough yet to start sending away talented players. Thats something the spurs should do not us. I guess it all depends on who we draft but i think we can find an nba ready player in the second round.

Draymond Green is going to be a guy who can put up a lot of points off the bench in the NBA. He has a lot of holes in his game (thus why he is not a lottery pick), but he's instant offense when you need it.

Scott Machado is a classic PG who should be able to run any NBA offense.

Darius Johnson-Odom is more of a scoring PG. If Bayless is still with the team, I don't see the need. But if we walk away from Bayless he is an option.

Jae Crowder is an all-hustle player. Kind of a shorter JJ. If he can guard SGs, he has a role in the NBA.

Wouldn't mind burning the second 2nd Rounder on a Canadian. Maybe Sacre.

Darius Johnson isn't a PG, he's smaller version of James Harden.

I'm also in for drafting Evan Fournier, Tomas Satoransky, Tornike Shengelia.

?? completely depends on who is drafted 1st and 2nd ( in the 2nd round) you dont just send a player to Europe because of when he was drafted.
-game type and personality should also be a factor

Like ive started before a guy like Robert Sacre would benefit very little from going to europe. and is a player who can contribute right away.
