I'd be all for trading for Williams if we're getting 18 back. Hell, maybe even if we aren't...I think he'll be a really good player if given the opportunity. If we're getting 18 back and could take a player like Quincy that would be ideal.

I like Derrick, I don't know if he really had a chance to get going playing behind Love. Not everyone can just come off the bench and get it going offensively. Especially as a rookie that's used to getting big mins. Not sure if he ever got in rhythm. It's obvious that Minny will unload him at some point. He is an asset, I don't think they have plans on playing Love/Williams together in the future b/c he is not a pure 3.

^^^ exactly, the short offseason wasn't good for him and he was always hesitant to shoot. When he just goes out there and plays you can see the talent. The shooting will come, mos rookies struggle with that especially with the compressed schedule.

I think Williams could be our sixth man they same way Thaddeus Young is for Philly. Lets say we traded #2 for Williams, #18, and a role player. He'd get plenty of minutes backing up either Mullens at the 4 and backing up the #18 pick (hopefully Quincy Miller, Moe Harkless, Royce White, Perry Jones, or Terrence Jones) at the 3.

I think the main reason D-Will sucked last season is because he was stuck behind Beasley and Love, arguably their most-talented and third-most-talented players.

3 Team Trade Idea:

Bobcats get: D. Williams, #6, #11
TWolves get: W. Matthews, T. Thomas, #2
Blazers get: Augustine, Pekovic, #18

3 team trade

Sixers gives up..Evan Turner, Thad Young, 15th pick..receive 2nd pick, Tyrus Thomas
N.O gives up..Trevor Ariza, 10th pick...receive Thad Young, 15th pick
Bobcats give up..2nd pick, T.Thomas...receive Evan Turner, 10th pick

Evan Turner is the perfect player to plug in. He's a potential 16-7-5 player who would fit great next to a shoot first point like Kemba. He's arguably the best rebounding guard in basketball would help immensely there, and can play and defend the 1-3 positions.

At 10 pick and athletic center who can shoot and run the floor to compliment Biyombo. Both Meyers Leonard and Tyler Zeller will be there. At 31 select Tyshawn Taylor out of Kansas to backup Kemba. Tough kid plays D and will be in the league for a while.
Then package Augustine, Maggetti or Diops expiring to make a move for another player. Utah for Paul Milsap is a realistic possibility or Toronto for Ed Davis and a filler.

C. Leonard/Mullins
F. Biyombo/MilsapOrDavis
F. Turner/Maggetti
G. Henderson/R.Williams/Carroll
G. Kemba/T.Taylor

Thats a squad..

Problem is that Kemba, Heno and Turner can't shoot a lick from range.

I do like Turner though.

Turner and Iggy played together and won together. It could work, isn't ideal but it would work.

I can solve that problem. If we are getting Turner. Send Hendo to Boston for both of their first rounders. Then we draft either Jenkins or DLamb with one of the picks to be our cowboy off the bench. Then take Royce White at the other pick so that Crunk and others don't cry.
Then finally we take Tyshawn at 31. I actually kind of like the young team that would make.

Kemba, Tyshawn
Turner, Jenkins
Royce, Maggette
Biz, Mulley
Leonard, Biz

Don't like the idea of bringing on turner. Too inconsistent for my tastes.

you dont trade #2 pick for a 6th man. you only do it if you are convinced williams is your starting PF for the next 5+ years.

for those concerned about thor's size, i assume you are equally concerned about william's size, right? thor is a half inch taller in socks, has 2 inches in wingspan. williams has 2 inches better reach. both are about same in vert. williams has better lane agility. thor has faster 3/4 sprint.

i'm with other when they say, tyrus for webster would have to be part of deal. getting 18 isnt enough for me.

I'd take Sullinger at #10, Q.Miller with the Celtis pic, White with the other and BPA at #31.

Kemba,
Turner
Q.Miller, Royce
Sullinger
Biz

And why would dwill back up the 18th pick
That's like the dumbest thing I've ever heard, Derrick would start right away for you guys
And martell is ass, you guys would just not pick up his team option and save 5 mil

correct, only taking webster for tyrus to shed some future salary. even though webster is ass, he is still better than 1/3 of our current roster, sadly.

i agree Pek >>>> wes matthews. pek is a stud.

There are concerns about Robinson's size for the 4 spot, so let's trade it for the even smaller Derrick Williams instead!

Robinsons size is a worry because of his style of play.

Yeah so he could bolt in free agency. No thanks.
