Would you take Jason Richardson for free?
Would you take Jason Richardson for free? If ORL's intent is to try to clear cap, would a veteran marksman like JRich interest you guys?

Richardson doesn't interest me at all. Redick does though.

If he played for free - yes. If we don't "trade" anyting for him but capspace - no.
Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak and to remove all doubt

I would, but I'm definitely in the minority around here

Part of me wants Orlando to throw in the #19 or force them to take back Milicic, but I guess I'd be content with simply inhaling his contract.

I know I made threads about J-Rich in the past, but I can't recall seeing this rumor which appeared before the trade deadline.

I'd do it for the 19. Otherwise, no.

Not for free. I'd give you freeness and the #18 for Reddick though.

What do your other TWolves fans think of this idea?

Re: Would you take Jason Richardson for free?
I remember something on the trade board about #18 for Reddick, but not sure what the general consensus was. Some of us like Reddick a good amount, others not as much. Might end up being something like Brad Miller or Martell Webster who could be cut for immediate savings with #18 for Reddick if everyone was to get behind it.

I think almost all here agree that Redick is a great fit fot the wolves.
I could see the 18th being traded for a player like him. It´s not too ambitious but would make us a solid team

I would, as a last resort. He would still be better than what we ran out with on the wings last season.

Re: Would you take Jason Richardson for free?
He is only making Mid-Level money now. He would probably be worth that to the Wolves. Wouldn't be my first choice for options this off-season, but I could see him being a pretty good fit along-side Rubio. I'd probably take him for free after we've eliminated some of the more appealing options from being possibilities.
He always seems to be grumpy. I guess I'd also want to do my homework on him to make sure he's not going to be a problem in the locker room.

Re: Would you take Jason Richardson for free?
I would.....he's a vet, he'd start at the SG spot for us, and he's still capable of netting 15 a game without being a complete chucker. His durability is the big question, but he's got great size for the two spot compared to what we have, and he's still got some juice left in the legs. I don't think he'll be very good 2-3 years from now, but by then, his contract is up. I think he's a better option than Jamal Crawford, and certainly more realistic than Batum or Harden.

He's on a good deal, and like I said, he's still got some lift. Not like his days of the dunk contests, but he can still get up....and Ricky would surely be able to find him around the rim or on kickouts. Regarding his attitude....he's just a competitor. I know coming out, he said his biggest opponent was himself....so he's very critical and hard on himself. That was when he was young, but that's not something everyone kicks as a habit. I think he provides a lot of things to a team looking to add complimentary pieces....Jrich is a good piece because he can stretch the floor, attack, and play decent defense. If we can't get an Iggy, Monta, or Batum....which I don't exactly think we will....then Jrich is a very good backup plan. I was all for trading him for Beasley last year, as the writing was already written on the wall for Michael.

The problem is we need an impact player at the wings before we add a guy like Redick.
Redick is no better than Martell Webster. We need to trade Derrick Williams and #18 for a serious wing upgrade.

Agree on the need to add an impact wing, but Redick is far better than Webster. He's a solid starting SG in general with good health. He's also a great fit next to Rubio on offense (highly efficient, great shooter, doesn't need the ball in his hands all the time) and competitive on defense. If the Wolves could add Iggy at SF for his defense and ballhandling, and Redick at SG, that's a verrry nice starting 5. Just need that backup defensive big and they're in serious business.
