Deron Lamb
John Jenkins
Jeffery Taylor
Festus Ezeli
Fab Melo
Moe Harkless
Tony Wroten

Are the ones I am really interested in.

Royce White
Quincy Miller

Are intriguing prospects who may make a all-star game or two but there are just a lot of questions there and I would pass on both after further assessing.

I really hope Sims catches some eyes so we can focus on getting a guy like Quincy Miller, John Jenkins, or Tony Wroten in the first. I wouldn't mind getting Miller, but if Wroten can display himself in a good way, then we need to add him in the back court with Teague. With Millers showing at the combine, maybe he slips to the 2nd, and find a pick to take him with.

They're looking at Draymond Green and Darius Miller, which is making me wonder if they are trying to get an early enough 2nd round pick to take one of them. I'd love to have either one coming off the bench.

Wouldn't be surprised if we took Machado.

If we can leave the draft with Wroten, Q. Miller, and Sims, then I think we can call ourselves definite winners.

Hope Mike Scott goes undrafted and the hawks pick him up.

Doron Lamb REALLY is intriguing to me. I'm always in favor of guys who have a track record of being on winning teams. (As they understand the team concept better and what it takes to be successful.)

He has good size, has performed well under pressure, and is a lights out jump shooter. I know, we already have a team with too many players who settle for jumpers.

But Doron Lamb would immediately become the best shooter on the team. And we don't have enough players who are great at anything.

And he kind of reminds me of Joe Dumars, my all-time favorite NBA player.

Oddly, some outlets don't even have him going in the first round.

Other than that, Andrew Nicholson is an intriguing prospect as a potential replacement for Josh Smith. Imagine it, a Big Man with an actual post game!!!!

I still say we need to go after a Center, Fab Melo and Festus Ezeli in that order, but I wouldn't at all be mad if we opted to get Doron Lamb at the number 23 spot

I'm with you about wanting a center, but I have reservations about Fab Melo long term. His motor and desire are a question. he didn't even go to class enough to be eligible to play in the NCAA tourney. They have a word for that: LAZY.

It affected his team, it affected his draft status. I suspect that if we gave this kid a million dollars and unleash him in the city of Atlanta, he would get...distracted.

Lots of players skip out on class just because they know they aren't coming back and they think that their school will just let them play. Is it laziness? Yeah, to an extent, but plenty of NCAA athletes skip out and don't get caught for not attending class. Jim Tressell stated a year or 2 ago in a live interview that he always had trouble with guys going to class and was getting tired of bailing them out. I think before you label him lazy, you should look at the weight he lost, the greatly improved conditioning, and the on court production he displayed this year. Rynardo Sydney obviously is lazy.

Yea......Tressel is not the guy you want to build a case on considering he was caught, "resigned", and his program is facing sanctions. Therein lies the problem, everyone cheats at the college level but you have to be doing it up to a considerable degree to get caught by the NCAA or even worse, punished by your own school.

Wonder how Lamb and Q Miller looked today. Not interested in Joseph he is just another SF IMO.

I hear you, man.

It's just that their team was undefeated; he had 'academic issues' and had to miss games. They immediately loss games in his absence. Then, he gets in trouble yet again just before March and has to miss the whole NCAA tourney. Cost his team a run at a title. And himself a shot at being a lottery (top 14) pick.

I view this as him being undependable. He knew he wasn't going back to college after this season, and slacked off.

Yeah, he got in shape. But it's almost like a guy who puts up career numbers in his contract season. Getting a multi-million dollar contract can serve as strong short-term motivation.

But is this guy somebody you want to depend for an 82 game season?
Do you really trust him to stay motivated for the team once he gets his money?

He has talent, no doubt. But it's his heart I have doubts about.

Okay. I can give you not being dependable because of how he cost Syracuse. That's at least more accurate than lazy. Even if you question his "heart" or character, wouldn't you say his positives outweigh his negatives and that his progression is well worth a selection at 23? As far as Tressell goes, I was just using him to show that Melo isn't the only player that skips class. Obviously, the guys who don't get caught will never get caught. So you don't know who has "cheated".

Heard from a reliable source that the Hawks like Q Miller but don't know if he is a SF or PF. That source did not hear much about what they think of Lamb which is disappointing.

This is good news that they may be looking for guys that play defined positions and roles though.

I will admit he is talented and is an intriguing option worthy of a first round pick.

I think a better fit than us would be one with a long-term solution at Head Coach & GM and a veteran locker room. That way, there's an environment of stability and accountability when he inevitably has some growing pains down the road.

Weird....considering that Al, Josh, Marvin, Joe and even Teague don't have defined positions or roles.
