Zuffa has peaked. They'll never reach the UFC 100 Brock/GSP big show again.

They need to scale back a bit. re-think the strategy, and stop with these joke cards.

147 is getting strummed, or streamed.

I'd imagine the issue with McCall specifically is the crazy amount of leverage that the ufc has over flyweights, especially non zuffa who aren't dropping down. Nobody knows these guys. If McCall rejects that bs lowball offer, they say okay and simply market MM and Benavidez as the two best flyweights in the world. Fighting bigger guys their entire careers and winning, etc. People are already iffy at the thought of flyweights, its not like there are going to be a bunch of guys arguing the merits of the Tachi Palace fighter McCall over the likes of (e.g.) ufc flyweight champion Benavidez.

It is definitely unfortunate though. This is a legitimate sport, and one of the guys that the ufc considers top 4 in the world at his weight class is only worth 9 grand? lol.

It's not great.

But he signed the deal.

I wonder what it's like to fight for 9k, then leave the arena with your GF in a crap rental, while Dana's private jet roars overhead?

Kind of like working for any company.

Tom Lawlor given extension of 4 fights (or, more accurately, 1-1-1-1).

When asked what drives him to continue competing, he answered: "I fight to support my cats and I hope to one day be a brewmaster."

Mike Pierce: “I’m not too sure. I’m okay continuing my reign over the Brazilians and doing that. That’s always fun. I told Joe Silva before this fight on Twitter that I wanted an easy fight and told all the Brazilians to put in their applications,” Pierce told MMAWeekly Radio on Wednesday.

LOL, is he just trying to pull a Sonnen here? I'd probably try to raise my profile if judges hated me as well. At least he didn't pull a Maldanado and express his desire to hurt all Brazilians or something.

Did you guys see that Jorge Santiago fight from Titan? WTF is with that referee? You fight in these small orgs with these **** referees, you're really risking your health. Santiago transitions into a leg lock position, the ref's wandering around contemplating the action like he's at an art exhibit. Josh Rosenthal would be right there, practically in risk of being submitted himself. Meanwhile, the opponent screams and tries to tap, the ref is late jumping and doesn't really even break up the sub. He just sort of whisks at it with his hand.

Just no sense that he's the official in a friggin cage fight. Fat turd.

"Hey Jorge, man, I hear his knee popping. Is he tapping? Let me check...yea dude, he's tapping. You should probably let him go man. Nice work."

Steven Seagal on MMA Hour today.

I am still not sure if this is the greatest troll job, or if he is actually that good at Aikido.

I think he's pretty good at it (though that looked heavily exaggerated), there's a video online of him dropping Anderson Silva with some weird hand hold thing he does

Edit: here it is

Those wrist locks, your hand just goes and buckles. I get it.

The Belfort fight where he's sitting front row, gives him a tap, Silva hugs Nog, then Segall....

Goes to show you never can tell.

Aikido is not a fighting/sparring art, it's always choreographed in the sense that the dummy partner knows what is going to be used to counter them. I think. I got a friend, I'll show her this.

Aikido is a great addition to jj, and surprisingly I've heard hands.

It's not going to win fights, because it is not fighting are, but philosophy and technique really correct stance and ability to counter.

Some of the most talented people I've met, thought it helped them a lot.

Page is going to fight in the fall.

I hope they put him back in with Thiago Silva, that is a good fight.
