OT: Brandon Bass opts out

Post#1 » by Lauri_Legend » Sun Jun 17, 2012 2:48 am

How about Bulls go for Bass? Our power-forwards spot would be a bit clogged up, but I wouldn't mind seeing Bass coming off the bench for the right price.

But we already have Carlos Boozer!

He already turned us down once. Doubt being our 3rd string PF would be tantalizing to him now.

I sense he'll be going somewhere where he chooses & gets a decent sized contract.

Plus I think I'd rather keep Taj instead.

We can't sign every FA in the league

We should ask the league to expand the roster maximum so we can sign all the free agents.

Bulls need as much fringe talent as possible!

Booz should be 3rd string.

Yeah makes sense to put our $15 million PF on the bench behind two players who have never proven anything as starters.

People really need to stop overreacting. Boozer's easily better than Bass and Gibson.

Bulls would be idiots to go after Bass.

Boozer is complete and utter garbage. Worst defender I've ever seen and is too scared to do anything on offense. Give me Bass over garbage any day.

Boozer is the worst PF ever! Give me break. Bass is homeless man's Boozer. Bad defense like Boozer, all he does is shoot 15 foot jumpers like Boozer, but also doesn't rebound at all. Plus your team is headed for the lottery if Bass is a top 3 option.

This. Boozer isn't that good but some people are starting to underrate him. He's still a decent PF.

I don't understand this thread. Are people suggesting that Bass is better than Boozer? Because he definitely isn't.

The Bulls can't afford him, they have Taj Gibson, and we can't have a separate thread for every single free agent pipe dream. Please use the around the NBA thread unless there is news that connects the player to the Bulls.
