MLB All-Star Game Pick Your Rosters

Post#1 » by sunshinekids99 » Mon Jun 18, 2012 4:16 pm

Just a quick FYI: Jose Bautista is still in the league.

He did not have a great April. He did have an excellent May and a great June.

He's having a very good June? But his May is nothing special a .894 OPS is good but not out of this world.

I will make some updates to my rosters as we get closer to the rosters being announced. Not sure Joey Bats will be on the team tho.

Dude is leading the majors in HRs and is second in RBIs. Joey Bats should easily be on the team. He is also demolishing everything lately.

You have Adam Dunn as a reserve. At worst, Joey should make it over him.

I don't have Dunn as a reserve I have him in that stupid final five thing they do. You also have to remember I did this 10 days ago. I know that's not a long time but he has to be around .450 with 7 or 8 hr's in those 10 days.

Ron Washington is such an assh*le. He used 3 of his 5 manager's choices on his own Rangers.

Yeah, I saw that. SF fans went CRAZY on the voting, Panda definitely does not deserve to start (he missed 5 weeks with an injury). That being said, having one of the best (if not the best) pitching staffs in the MLB and only one pitcher makes the squad? Come on....

"Our fans are crazy," first baseman Brandon Belt said upon learning that he got 3.9 million votes and finished second behind the Reds' Joey Votto, who got 7.3 million.

"We now officially have the best fans in baseball. If they can put me second, that's unbelievable."

Unbelievable because Belt had only 171 at-bats before Sunday's game against Cincinnati. But that was far from the craziest result.

Brandon Crawford, a .232 hitter, came within 306,000 votes of upending Rafael Furcal for starting shortstop. Sandoval, who missed five weeks after his hamate surgery, blew past Wright to win at third base, beating the Met 5.74 million to 4.13 million.

Cabrera, who fell into fourth place in outfield voting in results announced six days ago, blasted past Carlos Beltran, Matt Kemp and Ryan Braun to lead all outfielders with 7.52 million votes, nearly 1.1 million more than Beltran got in second place.

Craziest of all, Freddy Sanchez got 2.29 million votes and finished fourth at second base even though he has not played in 13 months, and Aubrey Huff got 1.9 million votes in the outfield.

"I was nervous," manager Bruce Bochy joked. "I didn't have Freddy here all year and here he was going to get a shot to start the All-Star Game."

Bay Area fans are the new "China" fans of the MLB

I actually agree with you. I would have picked Peavy over Harrison, but it's not a huge difference.

I hope the next thing Melky eats off of his bat gives him a stomach ache.
