Unless Salmons is going out with that #5 pick, no thanks.

Salmons & #5 for Deng sounds possible if Barnes is available. Keep in mind, Deng may need surgery after the Olympics.

"Right after the Olympics, I’ll make the decision, whether my wrist is good enough that I don’t need the surgery or if I need it, so I haven’t really ruled out not getting the surgery or getting it."

The Bulls want young starters, cap space, or established stars. For Deng, I'm sure they want a high draft pick (Which Sac has), cap space (Which Sac has, Garcia is expiring after next season), and established stars (Tyreke, for better or worse, is still an attractive chip). If the Bulls really weren't interested in Tyreke, they could probably involve a third or fourth team and end up getting cap space, more picks or another player in return.

I'd be surprised if the Bulls took Salmons. It wouldn't be the end of the world though. They could probably dump him off as an expiring contract after 2012/2013. Bulls, realistically, won't be contending again until 2013/2014, when Rose is truly back in game shape.

I think the Iggy + 15 for Outlaw/Garcia + 5 is a better trade overall in terms of value for the 5th pick.

Anyways I think in general we need another sweetener other then Garcia to get this done be it dumper more or bigger salary, and/or getting a late 1st\player.

And for an injured and overpaid starter, the Kings aren't going to give you all 3.

Im really over Deng. By the looks of Bulls boards, they view a Deng for lotto trade as a steal for them. Never a good sign.

Yeah, I see that too.

But for some reason, they want BOTH #5 & Tyreke for a Deng deal. As if they are doing us any favors.

Choosing between Iggy & Deng deals, Iggy/15 >> Deng.

Ya no way do I see the Bulls getting #5 plus Tyreke for Deng. I'd rather go for Iggy than Deng anyways.

From a Bulls perspective that's pretty good value for Deng. Would you really be so quick to give up on Jimmer?

Another thought, would you be willing to trade Evans for Deng straight up, or maybe with $3m cash going to SAC? I know there is room to absorb Deng's deal, but just wondering if the Kings will consider increasing salary next season.

Well, they say they are but if they draft another project I can see them holding off and waiting to make a deal.

I'm fuming all over again. *sigh

Particularly given his injury situation, I don't think I 'd even trade the #5 for him. As far as I'm concerned, that deal should be dead.

they're not getting #5 for Deng straight up either.

Bulls like I said before, are trying to sell us short while making us feel that they're doing us a favor in the process.. no offense, but they can piss off.

It's really the smart thing to do though, especially if you want to pull a Boston. Those young players are valuable but only really useful as trade bait so long as you have the space to take in the salary difference.

This is the trade I like.

Deng, Gibson and #29 for Evans, and #5.

Done deal!

I don't'; simply because Evans is easily worth more than Gibson and the 29th and we're not even shedding Garcia or Salmons contract in it.
