Scola wasn't expected to be anything good back then though. I could see him trading Dwight to Houston first though.

I remember Scola having a lot of hype before his buyout to come to the league. I especially remember a bunch of Magic fans questioning why Otis couldn't get into this deal; asking why would SAS trade a good big man to their division rival. Now we know why; Lindsey was looking out for his old team.

neon1 and I have been taking about that for a while. Finally, someone agrees. He is too small, not long enough, athletic enough, or strong enough to play 2 in the NBA. But as a 1, the kid has star written all over him. And yeah he is cocky, but name one star that's not.

If someone talks, that means they have to go all out to try and back it up. Just because it is already out there. Those end up being the players that could become stars.

3:42 pm. 10 days away from the draft, and we still don't have a GM let alone a head coach, who we need to have in order to know who we need to draft

Yeah, this is getting extremely ridiculous. We should have had a GM weeks ago. We should have our coach already. I'm sick of dragging our feet.

I hope a GM has already been selected and they're just negotiating contract details at this point...

If that was the case it would get leaked somewhere... Instead we aren't getting anything. Not even rumors. Nothing. I have no faith in anyone running this franchise.

Sean

Hey bill, I’m not familiar with dennis lindsey or jeff bower, but who’s the better of the two? And why isn’t Brian shaw the frontrunner for head coach?

Bill Ingram

Lindsey is arguably the better of the two, having come up in the San Antonio system. Lindsey, though, will want control and final say, whereas Bower would likely be more of a team guy, willing to let Martins and Foyle make some of the decisions. Bower built the Hornets team that looked like contenders a couple of years ago, and also drafted very well. As far as I’ve heard, Shaw is a frontrunner, but the Magic are waiting to see what happens with Scott Brooks in OKC.

Has anybody heard anything about this??? I personally put Brooks in the Spolestra mold, being carried by overwhelming talent and grossly outcoached by the Doc/pops of the world

Well, Thunder's pick looks nice, we could draft Teague, Taylor or Wroten with this.

I agree in drafting Teague or Wroten with it. Too bad we do not have something to offer for it

Im pretty sure the Thunder would just take a future 2nd for that late 1st. Reports are they like their core & don't wanna pay a 1st rounder.

@IAMAGM: Sounds like the Bobcats are leaning towards Thomas Robinson with the #2 pick http://t.co/5yJrf3lr
