More players should learn the full-court shot to evolve the game

Hell I will go one further, if he can get his shot off no matter what, then he could probably beat any NBA team 1 on 5 as long as he gets a free inbound.
Nope, you went too far.
The other team would shoot 100% playing 5 on 1, and if they needed a three pointer at any time they could get it because they would get open looks guaranteed and there would be a 95% chance that any miss they would get the rebound again going against one 5 ft 8 player.

Side note regarding how good NBA shooters are:
I remember when I was a youngster I was stoked that I once hit 14 (college) 3's in a row and thought I was hot ****. My cousin played JV basketball at Shadow Mountain when Mike Bibby played there and I met him once and asked him the most he hit in a row. He told me 37. I never again thought I was a good a shooter.

Defend him by putting 2 guys on him

I love that this thread won't die, hahahaha

In '03-'04, Jerry Sloan coached the ESPN predicted "worst team of all time" to 42-40.

Re: a guy that could shoot 70% from half court and beyond
This is stupid. Dude would have 8 seconds to get a shot off and then would be worthless. You can't pass the ball back to him. He would never be able to get a shot off in those 8 seconds either. at 5'8 he would get blocked like crazy. He wouldn't even be able to use a screen properly. They would just fight through and block him easily. A 6'5 athletic player would be able to block a 5'8 guy like nothing.
He would basically have a job in last second shot situations. Other than that would be a liability for the entire time he was on the court.

They aren't. But the real importance is if he can concentrate with all of the dogs barking due to the people bringing their pets to the game. I think not.

No he wouldn't someone would just guard him full court.

That's why he said within a game. This means shooting that percentage while being guarded.

What about a guy that could dunk from full court? How would you stop that?

Re: a guy that could shoot 70% from half court and beyond
I think it depends how bad he was in other aspects of the game. His defense would need to be functional, about as good as a sub-par NBA player like Eddie House. If that was the case, then he would be the GOAT. His defense would be functional enough that he wouldn't be scored on automatically on every defensive possession. On offense, he'd allow his team to play 4 on 4, which would make things extremely easy for NBA players.
If he was fat or extremely slow, and simply couldn't slow down the worst of NBA players, then he wouldn't be very good. He would help his team quite a bit on offense, but he'd be a disaster on defense, forcing his team to play 5 on 4.

That might be enough for him to make it to the NBA, which is the question here.

Even if he's easy to shut down and a liability on defense so what theres a lot of NBA players like that. If you have to gameplan and worry about him than he should have a spot on an NBA team if you left a guy like eddie house open all game doubling another player the entire time he would get his. Pretty much all scrubs and 12th men in the NBA would go off if you left them open all game or played really light defense.

I don't think he gets blocked all the time he has a lot of room to work with and even with the smallest amount of room he can hit 40-50%
