Funny thing is, the Nets aren't loaded with cap space. In fact, they wouldn't even be able to take him straight up as it stands right now unless Gerald Wallace isn't re-signed.

I was under the impression that Gerald Wallace declined his option. Also DWill hasn't accepted either. For obvious reasons. They're destined to be a lottery team. It's guaranteed top 10, most likely top 4. The likely hood of getting Dwight are slim. Whose the future power forward? Only option is 2013-2014 free agency or draft*, unless the Nets select Robinson this year.

Yes, and your point is? In order to have the cap space to take Boozer straight up, the Nets would have to relinquish the rights to Gerald Wallace, which they are not going to do. Even if they wanted to, the Nets cannot just take Boozer for cap space. They don't have enough of it.
