Evans trade idea

Post#1 » by silverwolfdemon » Sun Jun 17, 2012 2:25 am

Just a thought about how to better our team and every one involved

http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachi ... Id=7mja6qk

Why for us. we get a great athlete in Evans and salmons could capture former glory with Rubio plus its a vast.improvement over our current wings

Why for the.kings. they get the best player in the.trade and they can boast one of the best front courts in the league. also Luke can help with depth at.the guard position.

Why for the lakers. While they lose out on a proven allstar they get 3 starters while getting younger the lakers weakness this last decade have been fast PG now they gey on the fastest they get an amazing payer in thorton and a replacement in the front court with Williams.

Just.my idea would love to see what you guys think im preaty sure its my firstime posting and on my phone so please forgive any typos

I don't think I could deal Williams for Evans.

Adding Salmons makes it a deal breaker, for me anyways.

That is a really crappy deal for the Wolves. Evans is a ball-dominant guard with poor shooting %s. He is a poor fit next to Rubio. I wouldn't deal him for Williams straight up. Add in the fact that we deal all of our depth at PG and have to take back Salmons makes this a really bad deal for the Wolves.

I'd be interested in Evans as a SF, especially if the team got someone like Martin at SG and Rubio improved his shot a little.

But I agree that Salmons is a deal breaker. Maybe if this went down at the deadline. Salmons always seems to play well after he's traded midseason.

Evans may be a poor fit with Rubio but he'd be a great fit with our best player, Kevin Love.

I've always been fond of the idea of acquiring Evans, but, I'd be looking for a little more if I'm giving up Williams...Evans' value has got to be at an all-time low right now.

Salmons kills any potential interest from me.

Williams for Evans = Debatable value for Minnesota (we say no)
Ridnour/Barea for Salmons = terrible value for Minnesota

Wes/Darko/Webster/Williams for Evans/Salmons/Chuck/a pick? I'm not really sure if a deal with Sacto is possible. That contract of Salmons makes me want to vomit and he'd probably be somewhat useful to us... while Evans is going to want to get paid and I'm not so sure he'd be useful here. These two teams just don't match well.

I'd trade Williams for Evans straight up....none of that Salmons nonsense though. We're still missing a SF, but I could role with Evans as my starting SG.

Tyreke offensively is a terrible fit with Rubio. He can't shoot the 3, is a poor midrange shooter and very ball-dominant. I could see D. Williams for Tyreke straight up, no way I take Salmons, he has arguably the worse contract in the NBA.

By the way, I would also trade Derrick Williams and a future second for the King's 5th pick.

Straight up I do it. Evans might not be the perfect fit, but I think the ball handling and penetration skills would fit with what RA is looking for.

Someone other than Love needs to be able to hit shots with regularity. We'd need to make a deal for like a Martin, either of the Gordons, or Shuttlesworth for that to work. With how horrible that backcourt would be at shooting they'd pack the paint and double Love. Make life hell for Pek and dare Rube/Tyreke to make them pay from outside.

This is a really bad deal for the Wolves, a vast overpay, Williams is worth more then Evans on his own, and we lose both real PG's for a fake PG who should be playing on the wing(especially with Rubio out), then we also take on $20 million in guaranteed cash for Salmons, the man is so done you can smell the burn...

I would rent a large truck, stalk, and then run over David Kahn, twice, if he did something like this. Only a Laker fan would dream up this trade.
Horrible deal for Minny.

Williams for Evans straight up might be a deal worth doing, probably not, Evans seems to be getting worse... I'd give them Wes for him :)

Plus Evans is due for a new contract and you know someone will throw an obnoxiously large contract at him, so it'll be a likely one year rental.
