MIAMI— So what does Phil Jackson think of LeBron James, Dwyane Wade and Pat Riley? Well, you could see for yourself, if his segment on Tuesday's edition of HBO's "Real Sports" wasn't going head-to-head with Game 4 of the NBA Finals.

Then again, not everything the former Los Angeles Lakers coach had to tell Andrea Kremer made the cable cut, such as the aforementioned Heat-related comments.

But the folks at HBO were kind enough to pass along this transcript of Jackson's Heat-related nuggets:

HBO: Do you think LeBron's not being utilized in the best way?

Jackson: "Oh, they're -- they're using LeBron every possible way they can. He's such a great player. I still think his game is gonna grow. I still think it's gonna grow. But he was like Scottie Pippen was to the Bulls. He's maybe a pass first and shoot second player. Whereas, you know, Michael or Kobe are like, "I'm gonna shoot this ball." Every time they get the ball, they're looking to score. LeBron's not like that. And I love that about him. But he also, when he goes after scoring, he's also terrific. You want a player that can do both. I tried to get Kobe to do both for numbers of years, and he could. But his first instinct is to beat the guy that's in front of him."

HBO: "Having had the formula for success, for melding together two talents, when you look at a LeBron James and a Dwyane Wade, what do you see?"

Jackson: "They're doin' great together. I mean, they really play off each other well. They are doing really well together."

HBO: "Do you ever think about coaching those two?"

Jackson: "No, I never -- I never considered that, no. You know, they're talents. And -- you know, I think Pat has his finger on the pulse there. And he knows what he wants."

HBO: "Could you ever work with or for Pat Riley?"

Jackson: "Of course. I mean, we both have respect for each other. And we're both basketball-minded guys. I mean, yeah, that'd be no problem. But I'd probably rather have him working for me than me working for him."

**** Phil. He's a drama queen and an attention whore. He's constantly disparaging others to make himself look better. Phil hasn't even been a higher level team exec, so he really should keep his mouth SHUT.

Wait. He said good things about everyone, even Riley. Which is amazing because they hate each other.

Wait a second. Phil said he could work with Pat Riley.

oh damn. Never again would we go into every single playoff series and say "hope we don't get outcoached TOO bad this time..."

damn.. now we have to get rid of spo somehow.......

After his extension the only way to get rid of Spo would be if we lose it this year and then play bad during the season next year and get eliminated fairly early.

I'd rather we just win it this year.

Jackson would be a huge upgrade over Spo, especially for this team but as his comment hints at I can't see him working for Riley.

Mods why would you remove the og post and then not post the original article for everyone else to read? Christ

So I read your rules

- No off site links(2010 will be full of info, if you can't copy it, then don't post it)

And I do what you say not to and post the article and not the link and cite the writer you remove it?

I can't win here

Well I have read through your Rules thread twice now and didnt see this news article rule so next time please be less vague on the rules and less vague when you block it so I know what to do instead of counting on another poster to do it for you.

You're really boring. We are one game away of the title with Spo doing some excellent work. Stop bitching bitches.
