Its pretty cool, that the guys that made SonicsGate were at Game 4, behind the Thunder bench. Cheering for the Heat!

Is there any pics or anything? I kept hearing about them, I didn't really see them during the game. But that's amusing haha.

How much did those prime tickets cost you?

Colin Baxter: $3,500 … each.

Reid: That’s not counting the service charges. They were $3,900 after that. We were able to get them on StubHub and get basically the exact seats we wanted.

How much did this whole trip cost you when you factor in hotel, airfare and other expenses?

Reid: Probably at least 10 grand.

Nuts. I really hope Seattle is able to get another NBA team someday. That's the definition of diehard there.

Baxter: There was an usher who was great to us, and we asked him to let us know if we were getting out of control. After our signs got taken away, he told us the Thunder owner was really mad we were there. No one told us officially, but he was apparently very disturbed by our presence. If anything they should be stoked. We paid a high premium to be here!

Haha, good to know Clay was pissed.

In February 2012, it was reported that Christopher Hansen, a wealthy San Francisco hedge-fund manager, had made progress to purchase land in the Sodo neighborhood with the hope of building an arena to bring the professional basketball team and hockey to Seattle.
Estimates have indicated that costs for the arena would run between $450 to $500 million and include $200 million in private investment toward the arena.

On June 13, 2012, it was announced that Hansen's ownership team includes Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer, Erik Nordstrom, and Peter Nordstrom.

Yeah, I really feel for Sonics fans, I watched Sonicsgate on TV a few days ago and it really made me hate Bennett even more than before. Dude was lying through his teeth the whole time, disgusting.

Back in the day, Seattle was always my team on NBA Jam. Shawn Kemp/Gary Payton were just unstoppable.

The last few days Hansen has been appearing in front of the city & county officials. The decision to approve the plan is expected in early august.

I was sitting a couple rows behind 'em, seemed like me and them were the only ones in our section making any kind of noise in the first quarter. They seemed like funny guys though, throwing in a "sucks" whenever the cluster of OKC fans/family there started chanting. I hope they get their team back someday soon.

Return to Miami Heat
