What if we hear from Hennigan tomorrow in the press conference that he will be keeping Twardzik and Foyle on board because he feels it is best for the team.

Do you all start to flame Hennigan??

Twardzik has to go. He's just as much to blame for our draft woes as Otis Smith was.

Seriously why does it seem like the writers in the orlando area actually hate the magic?

Didn't Jemele Hill get to ESPN by hating on us?

JoshuaBRobbins
Hennigan, Martins and the DeVoses already have talked about potential coaching candidates extensively.

I assumed this long ago, it was said a long while back when they first started interviewing, that each GM candidate presented their Dwight scenarios and HC options. I'd be surprised if they announced a coach tomorrow too, they'd probably want to give Hennigan some time to make it look like he made the decision.

Time is now ticking again on Jameer and my sig.

Nash speaks...
He said he'd definitely be interested in NY if they want him (he spends summers in NYC). But he's also keeping an open mind...

"I want to wait and see what's actually on the table," he said. "I'm open and excited. I'm looking at every possibility right now. It sounds like there are a number of teams that are interested."

Some insiders believe Nash will first consider the Mavericks, his former team, and the Nets, if Deron Williams doesn't re-sign. The Heat are also a possibility.

If he's really keeping an open mind, you have to believe he's thinking about possibly teaming with Howard...

He also said Dwight didn't mention wanting out when they talked today. Take it for what it's worth.

Hopefully Dwight knows 99.99% of fans didn't even bother reading that trash. I'm hoping Dwight and Magic fans have slowly but fully learned to take Shmitz's words and put them back out the other ear. A total joke of a Magic columnist, I think his seniority protects him.

Great, quick read.
Questions and answers about Rob Hennigan’s hiring

Here are some tidbits:

“When we began this process, we clearly stated we had several primary goals in our attempt to identify a new general manager, starting with an individual that had operated within a championship organization,” Martins told the Orlando Sentinel. “Secondly, [we wanted] someone who had a strategic focus and had the ability to develop a long-term strategic personnel plan for sustainability for success. And we believe we’ve found the individual who fits that profile perfectly in Rob Hennigan. Rob has operated in two of the most successful organizations in our league over the last decade, having his initial experience in what could be characterized as one of the most sustainable organizations for success with the San Antonio Spurs.

“We felt that a majority of the individuals that we interviewed and focused on fit the criteria. As we went through that process, we felt that Rob set himself apart from the other finalists with his vision, with his approach towards process and procedure, his detailed plan for building a successful basketball operation and a strong focus on innovation in so many parts of the basketball operation. Whether it be a holistic approach towards player development or the utilization of analytics in the decision-making process of player personnel, Rob brings a great deal of innovation to the role. And we feel that it will allow us to build a basketball operation that will be sustainable in its success for a long period of time.”

I love the bolded part.
