Re: Official Speculation Thread (Pt. XXVII: Offseason Editio
I think Dwight Howard wants to be here but needs to know the right team will be around him.
Problem is The Magic are not going to go through this again and I do not think the fans want to either. He either signs an extension or Rob is likely to deal him.

meh, I don't really care what he does. I am however pretty tired of hearing everyone lining up for the heat so they can ride the pine to ring, but whatever.
Still hoping OKC trounces them the rest of the way like they should have from the start... I still think OKC is easily the superior team, made some dumb mistakes and got no help from the refs.

This. Except for the "didn't live up to the contract" part. He was never going to live up to that contract. I can't blame him for accepting that contract. That was on Otis.

On............
Stan Van Gundy: There are only two coaching openings (Orlando and Portland) and he will not be coming back here.
He is definitely taking a year off.
Rashard Lewis: He is at the end of his career. He probably will want to finish up going for a ring in the year or two he has left.

And why not? He would essentially be paid big money by the Magic next season to take a year long vacation... sounds like a good deal to me.

In my heart of hearts I think he'll commit to staying in Orlando (barring something else strange and expected happening like in April). He just does not sound like a guy thats ready to leave to me. If anything I think its the agent thats convincing him its time for a change.
Im not sure how the signing makes him feel but he had no clue about Hennigan or the hiring until i told him
I like this team

I'm sure some time off is in order after the Dwight drama of this year.

3 mics are set up. I know Alex and Rob will be there. I wonder who the 3rd is.
