What Moves can save this offseason?

Post#1 » by Jay81 » Fri Jun 22, 2012 12:26 am

Ernie has had another disastrous offseason but its still early....can he salvage it. What would he have to do?

I would say--draft Beal or MKG and trade Booker and our 2nd to move up to 11 and get Waiters. If he can do that....i think it would salvage the offseason

Dispatching a Navy SEAL team to EGs office prior to the draft? Otherwise, get ready to hear Harrison Barnes at #3.
Tre Johnson is the future of the Wizards.

Okafor failing his physical. Then Teddy immediately firing Ernie.

I expect Ernie to try and trade Blatche (throwing-in our 32nd pick), for another washed-up/mediocre vet.
TEd and Ernie will then proclaim the off-season a great success.

I am honestly hoping that this will be the case - failing the physical, that is. I'd love Ted to fire EG too, but I'm trying to keep my foolish hopes half-way realistic.

A massive pileup in the all-star game leading to an extensive list of injuries to top stars of leading title contenders, all looking for some help at the deadline. Oh, and EG's not making the deals on this end, or we'll see Ariza and a pick for Artest.

Shabazz Muhammed and Nerlens Noel.

I think we'll still be bad enough to have a chance too. Don;t count us out! We've surprised before!

Well, in fairness, we took Mike Pence off their hands. Taking back Mahinmi is the least they can do.

If the Wiz swap Okafor for Kevin Martin and amnesty Blatche it's be saved IMO.

In Hollinger's article, he says the Wiz may have to Amnesty Blatche next-year to avoid the lux tax.

I don't think either are worth tanking for.

I thought we are doomed for the next 243 years. :-)
What I think that will really happen (and "save" our offseason, which incidentally doesnt need saving) is we trade Blatche, Booker, and Craw. We get a low 1st round pick through the trades. We end up picking two SG's our picks, and a big man who stays in europe.
