If we trade Love/Ridnour for Ibaka/Harden, then I like drafting White. But it's hard to see how he fits with Love. That's my main problem with him.

I should have posted this in my post, but I guess I'll just toss it here...

White is projected to go anywhere from pick 15 to 35 in the draft

he's one of the toughest players to place in the first round. He has top-10 talent, but will teams deal with his personal issues?

well it looks like Royce has a promise from the Celts at 21/22. So unless we waiver on making sure to take a wing or can buy 19 or 20, he's a goner.

I'm just interested in seeing him play next year.

I know he doesn't fit any of our most obvious needs (wing, shooter) but I just really have a gut feeling about this kid and think we should very strongly consider him at 18. Apparently he has a promise from Boston at 21/22 and has cancelled workouts. Maybe he also has a promise from us at 18? We'll see, but I just think this guy is going to be a stud that falls in the draft because of overblown character concerns and then makes 15+ GMs look like fools in a few years. Draft him and address our wing problems through free agency or trades. My 2 cents.

Interview with Jonathan Givony (Mr. Draft Express) where he says says he's been hearing that we are Royce White's likely landing spot. 5 minute mark:

He says "I've heard recently that 18 at Minnesota seems to be his landing spot... I think we're gonna read a little bit more about that today... There's stuff he's... some stuff going on there behind the scenes."

FWIW.
