i have been on the jefferson/watson bandwagon for awhile...but just guestimating the outcome of a potential toronto trade(if we can convince them not to take 15 back)

Jrue/calderon
Turner/?????
ross/Thad
Humphries/Henson?/Ed Davis
Lavoy/Nik

its not that bad i guess....not a contender....but a solid core......

I still prefer a utah trade but warmed some to toronto...could you have enough room for both gerald green and humphries with a brand amnesty?

Sounds like worst case scenario for the front office, the top 14 would include (in no particular order)...
1. A. Davis
2. B. Beal
3. M. Kidd-Gilchrist
4. T. Robinson
5. A. Drummond
6. D. Waiters
7. H. Barnes
8. J. Lamb
9. J. Henson
10. M. Leonard
11. A. Rivers
12. T. Ross
13. T. Zeller
14. D. Lillard

That would mean best available are Sullinger, T. Jones, P. Jones, K. Marshall, Harkless, Moultrie

Sixersfan,

Do you have any idea what kind of contract they think they would have to off Kris Humphries to get him to bite...the more i think about him he does intrigue me a bit. He is a ferocious rebounder and can defend well in the post.

and who would play center if we get him they would still need a back to the basket big man that can block shots then to complement him wouldnt they

who is the 20+ point per game scorer they need in that starting lienup next year if you had to guess...

Well, I think the odds are decent. Waiters and Rivers have supposed promises (so let's assume they aren't there)....Henson has been considered a strong bet at 9 and if not there, then definitely 14 at the latest. So that leaves Ross, and lately a lot of people are thinking he could go in the lottery. If I had to guess, the one guy I could see dropping would be Zeller, but there's talk NOLA could take him at 10 (I don't see it, but who knows).

I'm assuming an Iguodala trade to move up to #8 (Tor) would be a virtual lock if Drummond was still on the board there? If so, think they include 15 in that scenario to get it done?

Adding Humphries while trading Iggy for young talent/draft picks would seem like a contradictory approach. Why add a vet who's going to command a fairly big deal if you're going to commit to a total youth movement?

Jefferson/Humphries front court? Man, that's scary bad defensively IMO. Guess they could change it up since Jefferson is a FA next year, but then that means you traded Andre just for cap space which wouldn't look good at all (especially if you can't get an upgrade or at least equal talent in FA compared to Jefferson).

I am not getting the feeling they are that high on drummond at all. i think they would go waiters or henson over him.

I dont think they would give toronto 15 in that deal. However two compromises on that deal if not 15 I heard could be the two 2nd rounders or nik.

Match up wise they need a pf who can match up defensively with bosh...that is where pjones enamors me. You won't neutralize LBJ or Wade so your only hope is to win the PG, PF, C and bench match ups. Like Henson, but don't think he's 'it'

Ah, my bad...I mis-read your previous comment that you didn't think they were that high on Drummond (thought you said they were....my mistake).

Too bad on Drummond because physically, he is a monster and at #8, would be a great value. As for TOR, no way I make that deal and include the 15th or Vucevic. Not unless Bargnani is coming back.

I am a huge fan of Ross. I like Henson alot and he fits what Doug wants....but needs to bulk up.

cap space in 2013 isnt exactly a bad idea........

henson is a worse version of ed davis... they are the exact same thing except davis has an nba body and henson doesnt...

cant wait to see how long it is till everyone realizes how bad of a pick that was

There are so many variables here, which is why as another poster pointed out awhile ago (name escapes me right now), I wish FA occurred before the draft. For example, I can understand looking into a guy like Humphries in FA, but not if you are inclined to make the Utah trade for Jefferson or Milsap. However it shakes out, if Philly winds up with a bigger, more physical PF or C, they almost have to flank him with someone athletic. I go back and forth on Jefferson for example, but only if he is flanked by an athletic shot blocker and preferably one with a decent basketball IQ.

Hey Sixerfan, do you have any idea if Philly at least plans to lob a call into OKC and at least see if they would consider dealing Harden?

yeah i would do toronto deal for two 2nds but not sure toronto would.

i think what we are finding is andre doesnt really have huge value like we hoped he would.

I havent heard much other than that toronto deal(but toronto wants 15) or utah. Its been quiet otherwise.
