Back from Miami

Post#1 » by SherronShabazz » Sat Jun 23, 2012 3:30 am

I went down to Miami to cover the Finals. It was a great experience.

I saw someone's post about hating LeBron being tired and it made me laugh. I asked Lebron for an interview and he basically yelled at me I'M NOT TALKING!!! twice. He gave me the dirtiest look ever.

Nice guy.

Westbrook did some douchey stuff too.

For every tool there is a good guy. Mike Miller is a nice guy. So is Nick Collison. I enjoyed talking to them.

Regardless, I think LeBron is the biggest tool in the NBA but I was happy for him. He deserves that ring. He earned it. He's the best. I've never been one to hate on the man's game. He's amazing. I could not help but be happy for him and Bosh, Miller and Battier as well.

I went to the locker room when Miami was celebrating and got drenched in beer and champagne. It was a weird experience. Fun though! I witnessed a very touching moment with Jalen Rose going in to congratulate Juwan Howard.

I took video. Forgive me... it's shaky.

Did Juwan even play? I am always amused as to why ring chasers and scrubs are so enthusiastic about having been on a title team, especially when they barely play. Doesnt make sense to me. Just my take but I hate feeling like I didnt earn something. if I was in that position I could never wear those rings with pride. Sure, I would keep them as a momento but when someone else does 90-100% of the work and you just ride them its not a good feeling.

yeah, i don't understand that thinking. i think its more about people who say he cant close a game ,etc. but he's an a-hole. i've seen 4-5 incidents of him mistreating people with my own eyes.

Ok i get that but they didn't win because Juwan was there for practice. They also didnt win because the light show was cool. They won because of talent. I am not saying it isnt cool to be a part of something like that, even in a small way, but getting emotional about it and taking such joy and pride in something you didnt really make possible is not something I could do. Just me but my reaction would be "Wow this is cool! Glad I could be here" and then congratulate the stars and key people that made it possible. Basically a fan reaction. But hugging it out with dudes and acting like I achieved something... couldn't convince myself on an emotional level that to do that.

Its the same mentality that allows rich/famous people to get away with things you or I could never. People want to excuse them because of the most nonsensical crap. If regular Joe acted like Lebron he wouldn't have 1 friend in the world.

That's it? C'mon dude your a grown man. That isn't that bad. He just won a title, is he supposed to give every single person an interview? At least he didn't say F OFF and punch you in the gut or groin area.

That part is interesting; I've heard about at least one incident myself of him mistreating people. Jordan is a big douchebag as well...
