He was projected as #1 or #2 in 2011. He could end up like Sean May or if his injury is treated properly then he could pan out. #23 would be a good gamble

Perry Jones: Highest upside as a threat from multiple positions in multiple ways but highest bust potentia alsol for a myriad of reasons from motor and position skillset.

Sullinger: Low upside but outside of the back issue, low bust potential. Contributor from day one but ceiling is capped off at Scola rather than Brand.

Terrence Jones: Medium upside, bust potential stems primarily from his motor but height/weight/length combo means if he doesn't work out at the 3 he would still be a very effective faceup PF.

Tough choices. 1 is likely to fall out the lottery but Boston might take a wrecking ball to us again and snatch them up. I wouldn't mind swinging for the fences on P Jones but that is a big gamble, Sullinger is the hands down pick but I also wouldn't mind T Jones if he fell.

I thought we had 2 second round picks and now I see we have only one. Anyway, not a big difference.

I have seen all the mock drafts sites and none is giving us the players that either we think we need, either the ones our staff already talked about, either the good ones when still available.

For example, Perry Jones and Terrance Jones going to Bosto just a little bit ahead of us, then Miller to Miami in pick 27, while we select Taylor from Vanderbilt. I do not see it. Miller or Fab Melo could be great additions for us.

I am starting to like Royce White from Iowa State. Especially if we trade Josh Smith

I wouldn't mind White, but I don't want to miss out on Quincy Miller or Tony Wroten becoming fringe all-stars. Not saying they are locks, but the potential is there.

i agree, their are alot of "maybe" all stars in the bottom of the 1st round this year. unlike a few years ago when their was only guy you are not sure will make the NBA like Jordan Crawford, Vasquez, or Orton.

Kendall Marshall
Sullinger
Perry Jones
Terrence
Jeff Taylor
Royce
Quincy
Wroten
Doron Lamb

all those guy have a good amount of hype on them, so i guess at this point, i would just draft a guy on the list who has the best work ethic, but i'm not sure who that is? Taylor is a senior but Jared and Perry might have a chip on their shoulder and Wroten might have something to prove after what happen in his last game.

What would happen if they traded josh and marvin for igoudala and thaddeus young. Draft Wroten and Festus Ezeli.

They sold the lower one to Golden State to pay for Eric Dampier's luxury tax impact from last season.

David Aldridge: Source: Bobcats have five legit offers they're currently exploring to trade the second pick overall in tonight's NBA Draft. Twitter

I wonder if we have offered Josh Smith to Charlotte for the 2nd overall pick.

Charlotte apparently wants to include Tyrus Thomas' in any trade that involves the 2nd overall pick. I doubt we're interested now. Maybe a trade that also includes Marvin Williams.

Tyrus Thomas:
$8,000,000
$8,694,215
$9,388,430

The Bobcats have "five legit offers" for the No. 2 overall pick in Thursday's draft, a source tells David Aldridge.
The Bobcats have reportedly been trying to package Tyrus Thomas' contract in any deal for the No. 2 overall pick, and we're not sold a team would be willing to take on that type of financial commitment. It is expected to be a busy day for the Bobcats, a team with multiple options on the table.

The #2 pick is not worth selling for just 18 million in savings. The Pistons just sold a protected future pick for the same number of savings so I don't see Josh as a feasible option for them because he lacks star umph and is a free agent.

Can't see why we would make an offer to the Bobcats. The guy we'd likely be targeting, Drummond, is slated to go later, and wouldn't require us to take on Tyrus either. Also not sure why the Bobcats would want to trade away their long term future for a 26 year old UFA.

Well rumor is that we like Beal along with a slew of other teams. Given* that, the Hawks either pick Beal* or trade back with a team like Cleveland that wants him too for the #4 and #24 and select Drummond* there.
