Can anyone tell me what the late penalty kick was for? I had to run to the bathroom and I didn't expect anything to happen in the meantime but upon my return Gekas was about to kick it.

Hand ball by Boateng, he had his arms loose all over the place.
No real arguing took place, pretty clear cut penalty.

My two favourite ones not on that list:

The youngster was hanging around outside City's Carrington training ground and asked the maverick striker for his autograph, but Balotelli was more interested in why the little scamp was wagging school.

After the child told him he was being bullied, Balotelli immediately drove the boy and his mother to the school in question to give the bully a ticking off.

The Italian international then demanded to see the headmaster to make him aware of the issue, and even mediated as the two boys were sat down to resolve their differences.

Then there was the brilliant story of poor old Mother Balotelli sending young Mario out to buy an iron and ironing board – only for the prodigal son to return home followed by a lorry containing two Vespa scooters, a trampoline, a Scalextric and a table tennis set.

i enjoy good tactical approach to the game but it does get bit tiring somewhere around 386th pass in the midfield.

I would like it if they were a little more daring to go on the attack, but it looks like all they want to do is control possession to reduce the other team's chance to score. It gets boring after a while

Yeah, teams can't even get a decent chance to score against them.

Spain deserved to win, but this is not the first time we see this from Spain. This is typical from them. Dominate possession by passing and passing which will eventually turn into a goal or 2 while at the same time taking their opponents out of the game. It is effective, but boring nonetheless.
