This is how bad British basketball is :

Brendan Gallagher @gallagherbren

GB produce best performance in history losing 63-61 to world ranked 5 Lithuania. GB's Dan Clark rimmed out from half way in last second

Lithuania struggled on scoring big time.. they were clutch, but it seemed like they didnt manage to buy a single basket..

nice stats for Jonas.. hes the perfect example that a player shouldnt be judged only by his stats.. he brings a lot of intangibles to the court.. his presence is really important on the defensive side..

We were so bad a few years ago FIBA weren't going to even allow team GB to compete in their home Olympics. The fact they're going to be playing this summer speaks of the improvements the program has made.

Absolutely love the amount of emotion and fire Val plays with!

I'm excited for this kid to arrive....I keep saying it but Casey better not use him as just an energy player.

If he plays like he did today, he will start from day one.

July 3rd vs Venezuela. Track the tournament here: http://london2012.fiba.com/pages/eng/fe ... index.html

Aside the blocks I thought Jonas had a mediocre game. Will be exciting to see him have a great game.

Will Mozgov be playing for Russia? That should be a good matchup.

Those are great numbers in limited mins but this was a friendly game against a front-line of Robert Archibald and Joel Freeland. Best not to start projecting NBA numbers off a game like that.
