Congrats on your victory Spain, you're such a reckless, daring team.

When teams defend with a line of 6 and another line of 4, both in their ground, this is what you get. Ofc if they didn't, they would be 3-0 down by half time. I do hope Del Bosque starts a striker in the Semifinals, or at least someone with more goal. Even Pedro would do. Or Llorente? He hasn't played a single minute in the tournament, considering he has been starting for the last year or so, I don't really understand why. Apparently he's tired, hasn't he had time to rest already?

I have no problem with Spain surgically tiki-takaing their way ahead. Sometimes, a "boring" 1-0 perfectly does the job. The Greeks showed up 3x in front of our goal and scored twice, that worries me more.

I wouldn't worry too much. One was a well executed counter attack and the other goal was a shot that hit the arm of defender. I think Germany will be fine, but I am rooting for Germany so I want them to play England instead of Italy. I think Italy can play D and counter better than England.

Schweinsteiger has revealed that he is not 100%: his knee injury (LCL tear), which he suffered in February, has not healed completely. After his weak game vs Greece, he "would accept the bench" if Löw told him to, but is highly willing to fight through it.

Schweini has not been 100% this year, but he is still irreplaceable. However, life could be worse: his alternatives are Kroos, Bender or Gündogan, all more than capable. Also, his buddy Khedira is having a superb tourney up to now.

BTW: Özil is also not showing his A game yet - the next 2 matches would be great 8-)

That guy disgusts me. Utterly pathetic. I would never wish injury on any player, but I can safely say that if an opponent wiped him out and broke both his legs, this would be my response:

The atmosphere in England around a meaningful England-Germany game is amazing, so beating Italy has just got to happen. In typical English fashion though, everybody including me is already looking past Italy! So we'll probably pay for that!

believe it or not but i just uploaded that pic on tinypic to post it here
really, great picture.

my prediction for tonight tho: 2-1 england

and then we have the classic in the semis: germany vs england

i don't know if there will be many chances, shots etc. tonight (probably not) but maybe it's the last time we see gerrard and pirlo on the same pitch at the same time (they fought out historical battles). a lot of elite players there. pumped, bring it on.
Wake up, girl. I wanna go surfing.

I find myself a bit surprised to be picking England today. I don't see Italy pulling out any magic tonight.

Watching Italians sing the anthem, you'd think they're going to war and never coming back.

Jordan never fully understood basketball. He had the lowest basketball IQ of any NBA "superstar" in history.
