Re: Why would Lebron come here?
But I would not build the team that way. Like you said it'd be Wade/LeBron then try to add an average big. The problem with what you said is that you switched it up for when we had Bosh. If it were me, I'd try to add an average big onto that tandem as well, giving us a big front court. Having that size to me is better than having the two best on the perimeter, because there are more great perimeter players to cancel out production on the perimeter than there are great post players.
Say for instance Yao Ming was on the trade block (considering his injury history I'd say his impact might end up being a little above average) and we somehow traded him.
I would like Wade/Bosh/Ming in a 7 game series against LA over Wade/Lebron/Ming in the same 7 game series. Or Wade/Bosh/Oden or Wade/Bosh/Kaman or Wade/Bosh/Jefferson or what have you.
By the way, I don't have any fear of LeBron outshining Wade if he were to come here. I've seen LeBron falter two years in a row first with a team arguably better than what Wade won with, then with a team undoubtedly better than the one Wade won with. I'm sure the media might try to give LeBron all the praise, but I think ultimately Wade would prove to be the team "MVP" more often than not. Besides, I would think you'd know you'd have to fear that attitude in LeBron way moreso than Wade, and its not like its stopped your wanting him here.

I was just joking man.
But still being serious. I honestly dont think Wade cares if he has to play second fiddle. He came off the bench in Beijing and didnt mind.

Re: Why would Lebron come here?
Lebron would come here because he wants to be a billionaire. Its his stated mission from the start. Endoresements are nice when you are one of the best but winning championships increases endorsements even more. Bron knows that and will do what it takes. Cleveland's spending spree was nice but its catching up with them. He wants to compete and superstar teams like the Lakers and Celtics and what the Heat had dont happen by chance.
Kobe got some rings while he was young. I dont think Bron wants to wants to spend most of his career chasing that dream. If he wants to catch Kobe he has to win early too. Miami has no state income tax which will be huge to get Bron his billion.
The no state income tax is a real equalizer for the starts concerned about money. Although when you are making that much money its really not that much different.

Re: Why would Lebron come here?
At the end of the day I just don't see Lebron's ego letting him be here and sharing alpha-status with D-Wade.
If I had to place a bet today, this is what I'd call:
Lebron and Bosh (or Boozer) to NY
Amare or Bosh (whichever doesn't go to NY) to MIA, and Johnson to MIA too if we can swing a deal to get the room
If we don't get the room, I see Johnson in Chicago or Jersey
Boozer to Chicago if JJ ends up here, and if not to whichever of Chi/Jersey JJ doesn't choose.

These numbers are wrong, I posted on the general board the right ones. The dude who wrote that article incorrectly calculated the raises. The numbers are a little bit higher.

Re: Why would Lebron come here?
Alot of good arguments....Who knows it could probably work, I don't think so but it's possible.
As for tim hardway....I don't think it's bad that I want Wade to have all the glory. I don't have any ties to Lebron or any other superstar in this league. Wade is the best player we've ever had and could possible be the best in the world and I don't think i'm a Wade homer for wanting that for him.

OK here's the thing, you have to separate being a homer from being realistic.
If I could have it my way, we'd win every championship with Wade and Beasley, and wouldn't even need to sign anybody this summer. Beas would develop into the next Charles Barkley, Dorell into the next T-Mac, Chalmers into the next Rondo, and we'd have our own homegrown All-Star team. We would crush LeBron in the playoffs every season.
But when you come back to reality, you realize you have to weigh pros and cons.
Pro to not getting LeBron? You can kick his ass in the playoffs, have your cake and eat it too, with Wade winning and proving himself as the better player. Con? You have to go through LeBron every year, and that's no guarantee.
You put LeBron on our team, and you're killing 2 birds with 1 stone... getting rid of competition AND increasing your chances of winning.

I understand where your coming from. Both scenerios wouldn't be bad as long as we're ringing up the titles....but if possible id prefer the beating him like he stole something every playoffs

Re: Why would Lebron come here?
One of the few posts I have on the boards. I admit I was wrong. The NBA won't allow a team or player to dominate the sport anymore. They changed the rules with Shaq in the league, and LeBron and Wade don't get as many calls as you would think for how aggressive they are to the basket. Miami won game five with OKC getting most of the foul calls. Miami Heat team had to be great to win game 5.

Re: Why would Lebron come here?
I've been a Heat fan since the Seikaly era. I lived in the Chicago area from 2000-2004. I joined RealGm in 2003. I actually moved back to Miami in 2004. I still love the city of Chicago to this day.
I never really went out to watch games. I went out more to socialize.

Definitely crazy thinking about it now. I never thought LeBron would consider us for the reason of sharing the spotlight with Wade - little did I know that Wade and LeBron were that good of friends.

This...
Their friendship is the reason for this championship. A lot of sacrifice. LeBron sacrificed a lot off the court, Wade sacrificed on the court. At the end of the day. They got what they wanted...A championship. Thats all that matters.

Got to give credit to Tim, I felt the same way
Seems like so long ago, the funny part is where theres "slight" but some mention of lebron wade and bosh on the same team
The wade bowing wasn't going to happen, but he basically gave the team to lebron in the public eye, probably something no one thought he would do back in early 2010

I may be the only one thinking this...
But I think he had no choice. He changed trainers and he obviously wasnt regular DWADE. He gave the team to LeBron. I expect a healthier Wade next year. So you'll see more of LeBron/DWADE like in game 4-6 of the Indiana Series. Just my opinion.
